Compliance Engineer (Manufacturing) – Mid-Level

Confidential client of Uptown Talent Partners is hiring a Compliance Engineer. This mid-career engineer will be responsible for ensuring manufacturing processes, products, and systems comply with regulatory, safety, environmental, and quality standards. This role works cross-functionally with engineering, quality, operations, suppliers, and regulatory agencies to support product compliance throughout development and production.

Primary Responsibilities

• Review manufacturing processes, materials, and product designs to ensure compliance with industry standards, government regulations, and internal quality requirements.
• Support audits, inspections, and certification activities.
• Maintain compliance documentation, test records, and technical files.
• Investigate nonconformance issues and help implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve compliance-related concerns.
• Support risk assessments, FMEA activities, and process validation efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited US institution required.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, regulatory, or compliance engineering.
• Knowledge of manufacturing standards and regulatory frameworks such as ISO, OSHA, EPA, CE, UL.
• Experience with root cause analysis and CAPA processes.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma exposure/certification preferred.
