One thing Drupal excels at is security. The Drupal security team is amazing and has kept Drupal secure for many years. This is a large differentiator from WordPress. This report summarizes the security state of WordPress 2025 - https://lnkd.in/gtXnq74X I am not that familiar with WordPress and its module ecosystem, but if I were selecting an Open-Source CMS, I would think twice about WP if I valued security. WP powers a lot of websites, but this report is crazy! Drupal is a secure open-source project you can trust. That is a big reason to use it.

Often it can make more sense to make sure Finance has a solid core accounting package, and then build custom software as the primary "operating system" for a scaling business. This is my favorite homepage experiment I have seen this year ⬇️ Sage has an element at the top of their hero that says “Explore Custom Solutions” and asks for industry and team size. If you add your info, it takes you to a new custom homepage completely tailored to your specifics. I am a SaaS organization so I see things related to SaaS metrics, social proof from SaaS companies, regulations and needs focused on software companies. It’s a vastly improved experience and generates affinity for the exact challenges I face. So many brands talk about the importance of “personalization” but include lots of non-personalized info. Enterprise security features that speak to only 5% of your site traffic. Testimonials where you have to dig to find one related to your industry. Customer logo bars with only one logo you recognize and it’s for a company 100x your size. Brands could easily build this experience, even if it’s just for your top 2-3 industries. In fact, most brands at scale already have most of these specialized industry pages, they are just hidden in the navigation. So the job is simply to make them more accessible. What does the data say 💡: I looked at DoWhatWorks’s database of A/B tests and found dozens related to more persona/role/stage-based personalization. These win at a high percentage. Although Sage is the only company I have seen put the customization bar right at the top like this, I can infer from the data I am looking at that this is likely a winning play, and likely to improve conversions.

Still searching for something even cheaper? That often leads to working with an inexperienced team, causing delays and implementation headaches.
