    The Hult Prize is a start-up accelerator for social entrepreneurship, supported by the Hult International Business School, in partnership with the Clinton Global Initiative. Our team was selected from 10,000+ applicants, to pitch our idea at the London regional Hult Prize 2013.

    We pitched a start-up idea to address food wastage by creating a mobile-based platform to allow small-scale, fruit and vegetable vendors connect directly with buyers.

    Expansion in the U.S. is critical and in a broader regards there may be a large degree of unmet demand in Europe where many unopposed copycat Burrito chains are starting to compete. In European markets, the Chipotle brand recognition from the U.S. as well as the ability of the brand to attach to various international settings has been proven in both London and Paris thus far. Over the course of this marketing plan we have identified Spain as a very prosperous potential expansion target for several reasons including the relatively low costs in Spain, economic insensitivity of the product, concentrated working neighborhoods, as well as the strong international tourist and student presence. In order to achieve this expansion success, we have laid out a marketing plan that will enable Chipotle to accelerate the development of high quality Chipotle managers and soon to be restaurateurs to ultimately help the chain expand and retain its brand and market positioning in vital markets.
