Ryan Dougherty reposted thisRyan Dougherty reposted thisAn invitation for AI, ML, and data engineers in the Boston area. On September 29 we will be at the AI in Massachusetts Workforce Development and Career Fair at BU. We would like you to come talk with us. Here is what we can actually tell you, in specifics, not generalities: What contract and contract-to-hire AI roles are paying in this market right now. Which kinds of engagements tend to convert to full time and which ones do not. What hiring managers are screening for when they say they need MLOps or production model experience, and where most candidates lose them. Which companies in Massachusetts are actually building versus which ones are still running pilots. We place this talent every week, so we see the numbers and the patterns before they show up in a salary report. If any of that is useful to you, we are glad to share it. There is no cost to you and no obligation, whether or not you ever work with us. Tuesday, September 29, 1:00 to 5:00 PM Metcalf Hall, George Sherman Union, Boston University 775 Commonwealth Avenue, 2nd floor Free for job seekers and students with advance registration: https://hubs.li/Q04xmrlM0

Ryan Dougherty shared thisExcited to be part of the team and get started!Ryan Dougherty shared this🎉 Please join us in welcoming Ryan Dougherty to the Overture Partners Business Development team! Ryan brings a great mix of recruiting depth and enterprise account experience to our team. He got his start as a full-desk recruiter, partnering with small and mid-sized companies across the Boston and New England area to fill their open roles. From there, he transitioned into an Account Executive role, applying those same relationship-building instincts to support the staffing needs of large enterprise accounts across New England and nationally. Ryan credits growing up in Boston with teaching him how to connect with people from all kinds of backgrounds — a skill that shows up in everything he does. When we asked Ryan what drew him to Overture, he didn't hesitate: "Overture's consultative approach with clients is what really drove me to the company. I'm excited to build true partnerships with my clients to find them the right talent." That partnership-first mindset is exactly what we're all about, and we couldn't be happier to have him on the team. Outside of work, Ryan is a hockey guy through and through. He's spent the last 5 years as assistant coach for the Boston Latin School Varsity Hockey team, coaches the Greater Boston Jr. Bruins, and volunteers with Parkway Youth Hockey across all age groups. When he's not on the ice, you'll find him golfing or spending time with friends and family. Welcome to the team, Ryan! We're excited to see the partnerships you'll build.

Ryan Dougherty posted thisAfter 9 incredible years at Motion Recruitment, I’ve made the decision to begin a new chapter in my life. Over the past 9 years, I've had the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally, and I’m incredibly proud of everything we accomplished together. I had the opportunity to partner with some incredible people and businesses. I also got the chance to be the first Account Executive in Boston for our Enterprise Staffing Division. To see how far that division has grown over the last 7 years is truly incredible. I’m grateful to everyone who played a role in my journey. To all of the leaders, mentors, colleagues, clients, and friends who challenged me, supported me, and helped shape who I am today - thank you. There are too many people to name, but please know that your guidance and encouragement means more to me than you know. While it’s never easy to leave a place that has been such a big part of my life, I’m very excited to be joining Overture Partners. I’m looking forward to new challenges and building meaningful relationships with my clients!

Ryan Dougherty liked thisRyan Dougherty liked thisI’m honored to share that I’ve been appointed SVP of the Secure Power Division, North America at Schneider Electric. I step into this role with tremendous respect for Vandana Singh and what she and the team have built over the past five years. Vandana, thank you for your leadership, your commitment to our people and customers, and the strong foundation you leave for the future. I’m also incredibly grateful to Kelly Becker and Olivier Blum for their trust and confidence in me. It’s a privilege to take on this responsibility and lead such an important part of Schneider Electric. As I begin this new chapter, I want to thank my colleagues across the Digital Buildings group and our fantastic EcoXperts. I’m incredibly proud of what we accomplished together, the relationships we built, and most importantly, the impact this team continues to have on our customers. I leave Digital Buildings with tremendous gratitude and know the team will continue to do great things. This is an extraordinary time for the data center industry. The rapid growth of AI and accelerated computing is creating tremendous opportunities, while also challenging all of us to think differently about power, cooling, infrastructure, sustainability, resiliency, and the speed at which we need to build and scale. These are difficult challenges, but they are exactly the kind of challenges I’m excited for our team to help solve. I’m looking forward to listening and learning, working alongside the talented people across our Secure Power team, and partnering with our customers as we build what comes next. I am excited for the journey ahead! #SEGreatPeople #DataCenters #AI #Sustainability #Leadership

While I am eager to begin this next chapter, leaving MGB is far from easy. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working alongside some of the most talented, dedicated, and compassionate people in healthcare and technology. Together, we navigated challenges, led meaningful change, celebrated successes, and supported one another through both professional and personal milestones. What I will cherish most are the lifelong friendships I have made along the way. The colleagues who became mentors, the teammates who became trusted friends, and the leaders who helped shape my career have left a lasting impact on me. These relationships extend far beyond the workplace and are what I value most from my time at MGB. To my MGB family, thank you for the trust, support, guidance, laughter, and friendship. The experiences we have shared and the memories we have created will stay with me throughout my career and beyond. As I join Dana-Farber Cancer Institute as Director, Workplace Technology, I am honored to become part of an organization whose mission inspires hope and changes lives every day. I look forward to building new relationships, learning from exceptional colleagues, and contributing to technology solutions that enhance the experience of patients, caregivers, researchers, and staff. While this is the end of one chapter, it is also the beginning of another. I am excited about what lies ahead and grateful for the incredible people who helped me get here. “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” The friendships and connections I have made throughout my journey at MGB will always be one of the greatest gifts of my career. #NewBeginnings #WorkplaceTechnology #Leadership #HealthcareIT #DanaFarber #MassGeneralBrigham #Gratitude #CareerJourney #TechnologyLeadership #HealthcareInnovation

Ryan Dougherty liked thisRyan Dougherty liked thisWell, today was my last day at Motion Recruitment! In 22 years in this industry, I’ve essentially worked for two companies. That’s kind of crazy when I actually stop and think about it. Motion has been a big part of that, not once, but twice. They were the first agency to give me a shot in this industry more than 20 years ago, and five years ago I had the opportunity to come back and do it all over again at a very different point in my career. I’ve had the opportunity to work with some great people, build some great client relationships, have a lot of success, make some mistakes, learn from them, and probably tell way too many stories about my fish tanks along the way. But sometimes you just know when you need a reset. I needed something different. A new environment. New people. New challenges. A chance to get uncomfortable again and build something from scratch. So that’s what I’m doing. I’m incredibly appreciative of the people I worked with at Motion and the clients and consultants who trusted me over the years. There are a lot of relationships from my time here that I’ll carry with me long after today! For now, I’m going to enjoy a little time off, recharge, and then get ready for whatever comes next! Stay Tuned!
