Hello everyone! Today, I'm excited to introduce you to someone very special to me - my father,
Jonathan Seamon. In short: My dad, a seasoned software developer/data analyst with extensive expertise in mainframe programming, SQL databases, reporting and analytics, and fluent in the ancient language of COBOL, is currently seeking new opportunities. If your team is in need of his skill set, feel free to explore his profile here:

Now, onto the backstory:
In a twist of fate with a hint of dark humor, my dad found himself laid off just a week after joking on his birthday about how "they can fire me now, at least I've got my pension." Since then, he's been diligently working on resurrecting his job search and interview skills, which hadn't been utilized in over thirty years. I'm sharing his profile here to lend him a helping hand in getting back on his feet.
Although I haven't had the chance to work alongside my dad in the capacity of a software engineer, I can vouch for several aspects of his character:
He embodies honesty and diligence. I've witnessed countless instances of him rising before dawn to prepare for major production runs or burning the midnight oil to ensure reports were polished and delivered on time.
Commitment and integrity are his core values. Whenever he commits to something, he sees it through. Growing up, he instilled in my brother and me the importance of honoring our commitments. He would sit us down and make sure we understood exactly what we were signing up for with any activity or sport, and there was no doubt that if something happened where we were unable to play, we were expected to hold to our commitments and support our teams from the bench.
He's a true team player. I've had the pleasure of meeting his former colleagues at holiday parties, and their glowing praise and anecdotes about his dedication speak volumes about his collaborative spirit.
If anyone reading this can relate to his situation and is willing to offer advice, brush up on job skills, or simply share experiences; if someone can facilitate connections that lead to opportunities; or if someone feels compelled to reach out because they believe he'd be a valuable addition to their team, then I'll consider this post a success. Thank you for taking the time to read; don’t hesitate to reach out!
