If you have #Spark or #Python pipelines for ML or data engineering running outside Snowflake, Code Bundles are here to remove all the complexity. Package your existing project (.py files, requirements.txt, no rewrites) and run it directly on Snowflake compute. Spark jobs too, Scala, Java, or Python, straight on Snowflake warehouses or auto-managed CPU/GPU Containers. No stored procedures. No containers to manage. No porting existing Spark notebooks into something new. Your code runs as is, and Snowflake injects a live Snowpark session automatically, so it talks to your data without you wiring up credentials. Schedule it with Tasks, or trigger it via CLI, Python API, or REST API. This is the migration path teams have been waiting for: bring the workload over first, modernize it later. Noy Bar reposted thisNoy Bar reposted thisHot take: there's a possibility that Snowflake replaces Claude/GPT as the best harness for GTM teams (subject to having your data foundations in good shape) 😊 We're deep into testing the Snowflake MCP. The biggest pain points are being caused by the LLM, not the warehouse: 1. We are testing some advanced skills that provide enormous leverage, but can take 10 minutes or more for a Snowflake agent to execute. LLMs time out the MCP connection after a minute or two. Snowflake finishes the analysis but has nowhere to send the response, so the user just sees a time-out error. OAI offers some configurability on MCP connectors that we’ll test but Anthropic is fixed to a max 60 second tool call. 2. Both GPT and Claude take liberty re-interpreting the prompt going in and the response coming back. Both can cause the user to receive a wrong answer. You can instruct the LLM to treat the Snowflake payload as a finished product - but they still seem unwilling to pass questions through exactly as asked, typically adding unnecessary complexity / instructions even to simple prompts. 3. Partly as a result of the above, total run time from query to answer can be 50-100% longer when prompting via LLM versus querying Snowflake directly. It’s less accurate, and you incur some duplicate costs. We'll eventually run evals on asset production, skill execution, and the ability to leverage other MCPs - and see if Snowflake is robust enough as a standalone harness for our GTM org. But there are already some nontrivial advantages to cutting Claude/GPT out of the middle.

A lot has changed in AP over that time. Automation used to mean taking manual steps out of invoice processing. That still matters, but the bar is much higher now. The system has to understand what it’s looking at, make sense of it in context, and know what should happen next. This is a big reason we brought Rossum into Coupa. Invoices are super messy. Different formats, languages, layouts, line items. Rossum’s Transactional LLM was built specifically for that problem. It can turn those documents into structured, validated data without the templates and configuration traditional OCR depends on. Then Coupa can put that data to work. An invoice doesn't exist in isolation. It connects to a purchase, a contract, a supplier, a payment, cash and working capital. Our agents can take on manual review across that process, from validating invoice attachments to checking invoices against contracts. At enterprise scale, those two agents alone can save nearly 3,000 working days that would otherwise go to manual review. And Coupa benchmarks show first-time match rates reaching 96.8%. That’s where we believe AP is heading. Less time spent processing documents. More of the financial operations able to understand, decide, and act on its own. Going from the 1st sales rep at Snowflake to CRO at a $100b public company was the thrill of a lifetime. Never in my wildest imagination did I think I'd get the opportunity to jump on another rocket ship. Meeting Scott, Russell, and the entire team at Cognition got me so excited to do it again with world-class technology. Hearing how customers spoke about how Devin is transforming their business made me realize this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. While I am not jumping on as the first sales rep this time, I can’t wait to dive in and help drive amazing customer outcomes while building a world-class sales team. As many of you know, Chad Peets was my co-pilot in building the sales team at Snowflake and my business partner when I joined RPT. There is no world where I could be the best version of myself without Chad.
