Gather 'Round for the Mid-November Dry-Van Market Update 🪵🔥 If you're shipping dry-van, you may want to feast your eyes! ⬇️ 🔺 The traditional import gateway of Southern California remains fiery. Capacity here is always under pressure in Q4, and the deep red suggests a bottleneck (a point of congestion, I recently learned this word!) Massive outbound volume coming from the Texas metropolitan areas, likely a mix of retail freight for the Southeast and industrial/energy-related goods. ⚡️ The tightening in the Midwest hubs indicate the pre-Thanksgiving/Black Friday push. 🔹 Readily available capacity and more affordable rates will be from shipping out of: The Plains, Rocky Mountain Region, and the Southeast. __________________________________________________________________ I found this insight helpful, maybe you will to: The majority of dry van carriers require an operating cost of at least $1.80/mile to break even. It was a privilege to be featured in Logistics Middle East and to spend time with Ryan Harmon discussing why the Middle East is entering a defining phase for global trade. In the interview, I discuss how global supply chains are becoming more regionalized, complex, and customer-driven. This shift emphasizes the urgent need to invest ahead of demand.
