I’m thrilled to share that I’ve joined Lightning Capital as General Partner + COO, and that I’m merging the platform, GTM playbooks, partner ecosystem, network access, and founder-support model I’ve built at Premier GTM, into Lightning Capital’s next phase of growth. I started Premier GTM after years of working with founders and venture firms and seeing a clear gap in the market: startups needed more support building and powering GTM in the AI era to grow faster, and VCs needed more structured, scalable ways to deliver meaningful operational support across their portfolios. From my many years at Andreessen Horowitz helping build and scale the GTM Network, to my work with global enterprises and startups at RocketSpace and PwC, to founding Premier GTM, I’ve always believed the strongest outcomes happen when great technology is paired with the right market insight, relationships, and execution. That is exactly what I’m excited to bring into Lightning. I have been following the company and the space for quite some time, and when the opportunity came to be a part of the squad that Brian McCarthy is building, it was the easiest decision of my career. AI is transforming everything, and I mean everything. The way applications are built, the way teams collaborate, and the way businesses compete is being rewritten in real time. What used to take months of development cycles is now happening in hours. The barrier between an idea and a working product has never been lower, and the pace of that change is only accelerating. Cursor sits at the apex of this shift. It is not just a tool. It is the platform that the world's best developers are choosing to build the future on. When I looked at where AI and software development were converging at the highest level, the answer kept coming back to the same place. I just wrapped up my first week at boot camp, and I have to say, the culture blew me away. For 35 years, I have experienced working with some of the greatest companies in the world. I learned about Celonis as a customer and liked what I saw from the outside, but now that I am on the inside and worked with helping our customers I can clearly see the growth and success ahead of us. Over the last year, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside some of the smartest Celonauts, most talented teams, visionary leaders, customers, and innovative partners in the world. I also had the honor of meeting our co-founder, Dave Duffield. He is a phenomenal leader who alongside Aneel Bhusri founded and scaled the amazing company I’m so proud to work for today. The technology has evolved immensely since Workday was founded (and even since I joined!), which continues to make it such a brilliant place to work. Mike Hipp liked thisMike Hipp liked thisAre you drowning at work? Too many priorities. A “leader” who can’t break things down and just keeps piling it on while you sink. This video is for you. A lot of “leaders” (manager) don’t know how to prioritize. Not because they aren’t smart. It’s because people assume they know what they’re doing simply because they have the years & a leadership title. The reality is nobody ever taught them what right looks like. So they walk in and say: “We’ve got 150 million priorities, and we’re doing all of them this year. Y’all figure it out.” Number one: that’s not leadership…. that’s management. Number two: that’s not prioritization. That’s a wish list with a deadline and a “leader” who doesn’t know what they’re talking about. Or better yet, probably shouldn’t be called a leader, to be quite honest. Here’s a better way. And it comes from my time in marching band. You don’t learn the whole show at once. You learn a few measures of music. Then the drill that goes with it. Then you lock it in. Add the next few. And before you know it, the whole show is on the field and memorized. That’s it. That’s prioritization. You know the objective: learn the show. Then you break it into chunks you can actually master. And remember: perfection isn’t always the point. The conversations move faster. The questions get harder. Nobody is performing for an audience, everyone is just trying to figure out what's actually true about the work we do and where it's going. The motion now spans Fortune 2000 customers across retail, manufacturing, consumer goods, and other SAP-heavy verticals. I founded and lead the customer Special Interest Group for the program, authored 40+ industry-specific playbooks using AI-assisted prompt architecture I designed, and present to F2000 CFOs, CIOs, and COOs on how agentic AI transforms the mechanics of finance, procurement, supply chain, and master data operations.<br> <br>The path that led here was 20+ years selling mission-critical software to Fortune 2000 enterprises. Sixteen years at SAP, including managing ExxonMobil as one of SAP's top five global accounts and a $165M five-year enterprise agreement. Three VP of Sales roles at Utegration, SEW, and GridX, where I built or rebuilt sales motions from the ground up. AWS Quarterly All-Star in Q4 2025 and Q3 2023 in a 200+ seller organization. 270% of 2024 quota.<br> <br>What I care about now is the chapter that comes next for AI in the enterprise back office: agents that interview business process owners and generate process agents from those interviews, AI that reads legacy ERP business logic and proposes modernization paths, AI-accelerated migration from non-SAP to modern ERP on the functional side rather than just the technical side. These are hard problems that a CFO cares about.
