Mike Starling reposted thisSharing this with my network for visibility. Please if anyone can help, then please reach out to Jon Marcus. I know that he would be grateful for the help.Mike Starling reposted thisPlease help me find a job - I’ve been unemployed for too long (2.5 years). Applying to postings isn’t working and I’m not breaking this job market. Long-time recruiters I know say they have never seen a job market this bad in 30 years, including in the worst recessions. In my case I’ve spent through my savings, got evicted and am living in my car. After posting this for months, I still don’t have a job but many people have said encouraging things and I have raised some money via a GoFundMe to survive in the near future (thanks to those people) but I also know it won’t last so I have to keep it going. (link at the end). Here’s the rest of my situation. I was laid off from my job at Google almost 2.5 years ago when there were a lot of layoffs. I keep ATS confirmation emails from job applications in a folder and at two years since the layoff, I had applied to 3700 jobs and emailed 2200 founders. I won’t do a new count. Bottom line, I'm getting nowhere. I need a regular job (or monthly contract). It probably has to be a REFERRAL from you because of the hiring environment today. Also, FYI, my present job is just the very rare short term contract. Very rare. The last gig they had me do was a year ago. If you aren’t aware of it, the economy is in really bad shape. Inflation is high, foreclosures and evictions are way up and a lot of jobs are being sent overseas. My background spans high-growth startups and tech giants, with a proven track record of placing specialized talent. I've placed people with all sorts of backgrounds including engineers, finance execs, marketing, artists and others. At Google I focused on security engineers from the FBI, CIA, etc. PLEASE mention me to your friends or hire me. Please. I’m going keep the GoFundMe going because after 2.5 years, I don’t know when this job market will loosen up. I would have preferred a job months ago but finding a job is not happening. https://lnkd.in/geY_6DPi (I will post this daily)

Removing Users in AthenaHealth When team members leave, it’s important to maintain system security without compromising audit history. In AthenaHealth, the best practice is to block accounts, not delete them. Here’s the proper workflow: 1️⃣ Block Account → Set to “Yes” 2️⃣ Block Password Reset → Set to “Yes” 3️⃣ Remove all departments from the Department tab ⚠️ Important: Athena does not recommend deleting users. Doing so removes audit data critical for compliance and record-keeping. 👉 If a user is accidentally deleted, submit a support ticket to Athena to have the deletion reversed. By following these steps, you’ll ensure security, compliance, and audit integrity. #AthenaHealth #HealthIT #BestPractices #HealthcareIT #Security

The hardest part of EHR integration isn’t code. It’s portals, approvals, agreements, credentials, and calendar time you can’t accelerate with engineering talent. That friction compounds across every vendor. We wrote about what teams underestimate: https://lnkd.in/gr49cFMS

🔥 Stress. Burnout symptoms. Frustration. Not because medicine is failing, but because healthcare information systems are outdated, inefficient, and misaligned with clinical reality and physicians’ real needs. 📊 Nearly 70% of physicians report EHR-related stress, driven by documentation burden and workflow inefficiency. 💭 What if we did better? What if we empowered physicians with modern technology, data intelligence and the responsible use of AI, so they could spend less time navigating complex data and more time thinking, deciding, and caring? This is exactly why we’re building RareSum. Health IT change is hard. Making it stick is even harder. One lesson we’ve learned supporting VA’s EHR modernization: technology alone doesn’t drive standardization, it requires strong communication. Today I’m sharing 5 more FQHC-specific areas that can help strengthen year-end compliance readiness and support operational alignment going into 2026: 6️⃣ UDS+ & Data Integrity Review Data accuracy is everything. Cross-checking your EHR documentation against UDS+ reporting helps prevent measure discrepancies, inaccurate clinical quality scores, and population health gaps. 7️⃣ Financial Compliance & Grants Management Alignment Federal grant stewardship remains a high-risk area. Time & effort documentation, allowable cost controls, and restricted vs. unrestricted fund tracking are key to financial compliance and grant management. 8️⃣ Emergency Preparedness & Operational Resilience OSHA, HRSA, and accreditation agencies expect annual drills, updated COOPs, and accurate vendor/emergency contact lists. These are often overlooked but become simple wins when brought current. 9️⃣ Enabling Services & Care Coordination Documentation CHW, enabling services, SDOH screening, and case management documentation must align with UDS+ reporting. Clean workflows protect funding, performance measures, and care coordination integrity. 🔟 Quality & QI/QA Program Strengthening From committee attendance to PDSA cycles, quality documentation is essential. Regulators increasingly expect QI to be tied to strategy, risk, and population health outcomes. Together, these 10 steps form a practical year-end compliance framework tailored to FQHCs, especially for teams preparing for OSVs, payer audits, or Board reporting in early 2026. If you’d like the 1-page version combining Part 1 + Part 2, comment FQHC10 and I’ll send it your way. These insights reflect my professional perspective and do not represent the views of any employer or organization. #FQHC #HRSA #OSV #340B #UDSPlus #HealthcareCompliance #QualityImprovement #CommunityHealthCenters #YourCompliancePartner
