Different fonts evoke different feelings, associations, and levels of trust. ✅1. Serif Fonts Traditional, reliable, authoritative Often associated with history, trust, and professionalism Commonly used in print media (books, newspapers) and luxury brands ✅2. Sans-Serif Fonts Modern, clean, approachable Conveys simplicity, neutrality, and efficiency Often used in tech, startups, and minimalist designs ✅3. Script Fonts Elegant, creative, personal Mimics handwriting, adding warmth and personality Can feel luxurious or casual depending on style ✅4. Designers, we’ve all been there… A sudden project revision, a last-minute client request, or (in my case) jury duty pulling you away from your workflow! This week, I had to step away from my work because civic duty called. And while I can’t control the timing, I can control my design workflow to minimize disruption. Here’s what I’ve learned about making design workflows courtroom-proof: 1️⃣ Systematize Your Files: Treat your design files like legal evidence: labeled, organized, and easy to retrieve. (No more 'Final_Final_Updated_v3.psd' disasters!) 2️⃣ Master Time Management: Just like a case docket, schedule your projects efficiently. Expect the unexpected and leave room for revisions. 3️⃣ Client Communication is Key: Whether you’re away for jury duty or just stepping back, keeping clients informed builds trust and reduces last-minute panic. Keep them in the loop! 4️⃣ Outsource: There comes a time and a place in any design career, where it makes sense to pay someone else to take on the tedious or impossible aspects of your workflow. Without making that leap, you will get to a point of non-scalability. So, off I go to the courtroom and not the vectorised depths of Adobe Illustrator. #graphicdesign #graphicdesigner #designinspiration #designtips

Good designers place your content. Great designers read it. (You’d be surprised how often this *doesn’t* happen.) When a designer actually takes the time to read what they’re designing, it elevates the entire project. It means: -Catching errors the client might have missed -Making smarter design decisions: like choosing better callouts, imagery, or layout -Ensuring consistency by formatting times, dates, and URLs to match brand standards (even when the client doesn’t) The little details make the biggest difference — in process and deliverables. This is what separates a designer from a true Brand Partner.

Want to spend more than you need to on design? Don’t have a vector logo. Vector logos can scale from a tiny business card to a massive billboard without losing quality. If your designer has ever asked for a vector file and you’ve said, “I only have a PNG,” we need to talk. Without a vector logo, you may end up paying extra for a designer to rebuild it. Here’s how to avoid that: ✔️ Confirm with your designer that they will include vector logos in your brand package. (Common formats: .AI, .EPS, .SVG) ✔️ Platforms like Fiverr don't include vectors in the base package. They are upsells! Be certain you know what you are getting for what you're paying. ✔️ Beware of Canva logos. Many Canva graphics aren’t vectors, and you can’t copyright them - not great for long-term branding.
