During our live, Justin J. MacBale asked Tai Cochran, MA Ed. HD, PMP and me the million-dollar question: What happens when UAT and training overlap—and project managers and change managers are both vying for SME time? The truth is, this overlap is one of the toughest moments in a project. Resources are stretched thin—SMEs are pulled into testing, training, their day-to-day operations, and sometimes into roles as change champions. As Tai and I shared, this is where alignment matters most. Change managers have to step into their role as cultural ambassadors—helping the project team recognize the strain and find ways to prioritize without burning people out. Project managers, on the other hand, must manage risk and schedules with the reality of limited bandwidth in mind. When UAT and training collide, collaboration isn’t optional. ✨ 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘃𝘀. 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 ✨ Being nice is about pleasing people. Being good is about holding values — even when it makes you unpopular. And nowhere is this distinction clearer than in project management. As PMs, we’re constantly pulled in different directions: ⏳ 𝘼 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙛𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨 🤝 𝘼 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙢 𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙨𝙠𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙚𝙭𝙘𝙚𝙥𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 💡 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 𝙥𝙪𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 “𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚” 𝙛𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 If we’re only being 𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘦, we’ll say “yes” to keep everyone happy. But that path often leads to 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀, 𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗽, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗻𝘁-𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀. What happens when community voices, local leaders and tech innovators come together? The creation of a clearer path toward progress.   Samsung was honored to host the North Texas Disability Chamber’s (NTXDC) first biennial Disability Issues Forum at our Plano office last week, welcoming mayors, city council members and change-makers from across the region.   In partnership with six North Texas nonprofit organizations serving the disability community, the #NTXDC unveiled a new report at the forum, informed by community listening sessions held throughout 2024-2025. The goal? To gain advocates by increasing awareness and understanding of local and regional issues for persons with disabilities.   At Samsung, we believe accessibility and inclusion are not just ideals – they’re fundamental to driving meaningful innovation and lasting impact. Getting your PMP isn’t just another career milestone. It’s a mindset reset. Most people start the journey thinking it’s about the exam. Flashcards. Frameworks. Formulas. But somewhere between the late-night study sessions and failed practice tests, something shifts. You realize the PMP isn’t testing what you know. It’s testing how you think. You stop trying to memorize and start trying to understand. You stop cramming and start applying. You stop managing tasks and start leading people. That’s when it clicks Project management isn’t about control. It’s about clarity, communication, and collaboration under pressure. The certificate is the mindset. → You’ll see conflict as progress. → You’ll plan smarter, not harder. → You’ll deliver outcomes, not just outputs. Passing the PMP doesn’t make you a better project manager. Living what it teaches does.
