We're building the infrastructure for Generative AI in healthcare, and I couldn't be more proud to serve as Co-Founder and CEO alongside a dream team of healthcare leaders, AI engineers, and seasoned entrepreneurs. One thing became crystal clear from my time teaching healthcare AI at Stanford, working on health at Apple, and selling Trustworthy AI to Google/Waymo -- we lack the infrastructure to responsibly realize the potential of generative AI in healthcare. In every conversation with healthcare leaders, I hear the same message - they're excited about AI's potential but rightfully cautious about deployment. We founded Qualified Health to be the trusted partner to safely unlock the value of Generative AI in healthcare. Our infrastructure provides guardrails for active AI governance, healthcare-specific agent creation, and continuous monitoring of algorithm performance. We're thrilled to already be working with leading health systems that are shaping our platform to meet their real-world needs. Quitting on hard days is the easy way out, while quitting only after a good day with a clear mind is true grit.Anh Nguyen Norden shared thisWe've all felt like we want to quit... Tell yourself "That's the easy way out and I'll regret that." Not all days at work are going to be good days and that's okay. Focus on having that one good day and then make up your mind. If you still feel tired and pissed off then quit. If you haven't had a good day in a long time then it's definitely time to try something different. I felt like I wanted to quit early in my career. I sucked at selling and every client I called would either hang up on me or tell me they bought the same product from a competitor. Then, one day, someone gave me some sales training. That was my first good day. Suddenly only 9/10 calls were bad. As the days progressed I got better and had more good days. I dedicated 7+ years of my career to sales because of those good days - they made the bad days easier to deal with. Now as I head into leadership I'm going to use the same strategy. Anh Nguyen Norden liked thisAnh Nguyen Norden liked thisToday, we’re announcing an oversubscribed $125M Series B led by New Enterprise Associates (NEA) with new investors Transformation Capital, GreatPoint Ventures, Cathay Innovation, Menlo Ventures Anthology Fund, an AI innovation fund created in partnership with Anthropic, and continued support from SignalFire, Frist Cressey Ventures, Flare Capital Partners, Healthier Capital, Town Hall Ventures, and Intermountain Ventures. This moment belongs to the health systems we work with and our champions delivering care across the country. This funding enables us to go further and faster with them in this work. Until now, AI in healthcare has been applied only at the edges, with fragmented tools, narrow use cases, and only incremental gains. It hasn’t been enough to withstand the workforce and cost pressures ahead. Today, health systems are committing to enterprise-wide transformation, and this approach looks fundamentally different. When the goal is to improve hundreds or thousands of workflows at a health system you partner differently and you build for scale from the start. Building Rightfoot was both the hardest and most rewarding experience of my life. Recently, I watched a customer blink back tears as they described how transformational our product has been for their business. That moment took me back to when we first dreamed it all up on a beanbag chair at Stanford GSB. Since then, we have raised over $21M from top VCs and have built patent-pending technology that no one thought possible: unlocking user data without the friction of a user login. We did the impossible. We had to break through f*cking walls with both grit & creativity. To get A+ talent, we sang and danced outside the house of our now Head of Eng until he accepted our offer. To get conference visibility without paying expensive sponsorship fees, we convinced the on-site coffee shop to put a Rightfoot sign at their register. And to fund our startup during our MBA, we lived in a retirement home - teaching water aerobics in exchange for housing. Rightfoot challenged me to become a better version of myself. It taught me to check my ego on good days and not tear myself down on tough days. It taught me how to turn failures into fuel and challenges into opportunities. More than anything, Rightfoot taught me that it matters who you surround yourself with – an amazing team is everything*. What’s next? I want to work with inspiring leaders that are experiencing high growth and need someone who thrives in ambiguity to come in and help them scale.
