The organization has completed multiple acquisitions and continues to scale aggressively, creating a need for strong operational accounting leadership and scalable financial infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building processes, improving systems, mentoring accounting professionals, and working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Key Responsibilities -Help lead and manage the monthly close process across multiple entities and locations. -Supervise, develop, and mentor senior accounting staff. -Review account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting deliverables. -Support acquisition integrations and accounting process standardization. -Help build scalable accounting infrastructure, processes, and internal controls. -Partner with leadership on financial reporting, automation, and operational improvements. -Support location-level financial reporting and allocation methodologies. -Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. -Assist with audit preparation and compliance initiatives. -Identify opportunities to improve accounting efficiency, consistency, and scalability. Qualifications -5–15 years of progressive accounting experience. -Strong operational accounting and month-end close experience. -Multi-entity and/or multi-site accounting experience required. -Healthcare industry experience is a plus but not required. -Public accounting experience is preferred but not mandatory. -Experience with ERP platforms such as Sage Intacct or NetSuite is preferred. -Demonstrated process improvement and leadership capabilities. -Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. -Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving organization. Compensation & Benefits -$120,000 base salary. -Estimated 10–15% incentive opportunity, with total compensation up to approximately $145,000. -Medical, dental, and vision insurance. -401(k) with company match. -Unlimited PTO. -Significant long-term professional growth opportunity. -Collaborative, entrepreneurial culture focused on growth and execution. I’m recruiting for a Controller to join a well-established, award-winning company with approximately 1,000 team members throughout the United States. This is a hybrid opportunity in Metro Atlanta. The company is doing very well and is positioning itself for significant growth over the next 10 years. They’re looking for a strong construction accounting leader who can come in, strengthen the accounting function, improve policies and procedures, and help take the organization to the next level. One of the major initiatives ahead is systems. The company is preparing to evaluate, select, and implement a new accounting/ERP system, most likely Vista by Viewpoint or Sage Intacct. Experience successfully leading or participating in an ERP selection and implementation will be highly valued. What we’re looking for: • Construction or construction services industry experience • Strong job costing experience • Controller-level accounting leadership experience • ERP system selection and implementation experience • Strong operational accounting and financial reporting background • Experience developing and improving policies and procedures • A hands-on leadership style • Ability to lead and develop an accounting team You’ll supervise a team of six and work closely with leadership as the company continues to grow. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful company with a great culture, strong reputation, and plenty of room for upward mobility. Compensation is up to $185K base plus bonus.
