Dustin B. Vincent, P.E. shared thisWe need more in office like Senator Bartolotta. She is very impressive with her extensive knowledge of many different issues, while being so down to earth and personable. It was very nice to meet with her.Dustin B. Vincent, P.E. shared thisLast week I visited Southpointe to meet with leaders from MPLX GP LLC, which was formed by Marathon Petroleum Corporation (MPC) in 2012 to engage in the gathering, processing, and transportation of natural gas and natural gas liquids - among many other energy services across the country. MPLX has invested billions of dollars in a large-scale natural gas gathering system right here in southwestern Pennsylvania, consisting of hundreds of miles of gas lines. These lines feed several processing plants in the region, including the MarkWest Houston and MarkWest Harmon Creek plants in Washington County. We spent time discussing their current operations and exciting plans for the future. I also got a peek inside their operations center - but I promise I didn’t press any buttons! These lines are truly a major part of the energy backbone that our country relies on, and they’re right beneath our feet. Pictured with me (L-R) is Amber Benzon, Entresol Strategies; Erin Osting, State Government Affairs at MPC; Mark Chasko, Pipeline Control Center Manager at MPLX; Harold Rinehart, Vice President of Operations for MPLX; Not pictured is Dustin Vincent, Engineering Manager, MPLX - thank you for your expertise!

Dustin B. Vincent, P.E. liked thisDustin B. Vincent, P.E. liked thisExcited to share that I’ve completed my Marketing & Promotions Internship with the West Virginia Black Bears this spring! During my time with the team, I had the opportunity to work directly on sponsorship outreach—participating in identifying partnership opportunities and conducting cold calls to local businesses. This experience really helped me build confidence in sales, communication, and relationship-building while seeing firsthand how partnerships play a big role in sports marketing. I also got to be part of the behind-the-scenes work that goes into creating a great game day experience for fans, which made the experience even more rewarding. I’m grateful for everything I learned and for everyone I had the chance to work with throughout the internship. I want to give a special thanks to Jacob Wolfe, Sophia Putnam , Layla Adinolfi, Leighann Sainato, E.J. Guy, and John Dickinson for their support.

Dustin B. Vincent, P.E. liked thisDustin B. Vincent, P.E. liked thisYesterday was International Women’s Day; ironic for it to this year fall on a day of “rest” when we never really have one…and I want to take a moment to recognize the women of the oilfield. The women who show up before sunrise and stay long after dark. The women who put in the same blood, sweat, and tears as our male counterparts, because the job demands it and because WE CAN. But many of us carry something extra. We carry the weight of leaving our babies at home, family responsibilities, and the quiet guilt that sometimes creeps in when our work pulls us away from what the world still calls a woman’s “traditional” role. The missed dinners, the long days, the moments we wonder if we’re doing enough everywhere at once. But here’s the truth: Our daughters are watching. They see the hard work. They see the determination. They see that women can lead, build, solve problems, and stand shoulder to shoulder in industries that weren’t always built with us in mind. And they’re learning that their path doesn’t have to be limited by someone else’s expectations. To my fellow women in the oilfield, energy, and construction industries…your work matters, your sacrifices matter, and the example you set is shaping the next generation. Keep showing up. Your daughters are watching. They are proud of you, and so am I.
