“I had the pleasure of working with Don during my tenure as a CIO. I inherited from my predecessor a challenging technology implementation. As one of the executive sponsors (and the head of the department charged with the successful completion of the initiative) it was my responsibility to get things back on track. Don was invaluable in that regard. He demonstrated an excellent combination of technical and business savvy. He quickly read the internal dynamics of my organization and used what he had learned to tailor his team’s approach to our engagement. He quickly diagnosed the project’s obstacles and helped me develop a plan to address them (which was critical to me since I was new in the position and still “learning the ropes”). Ultimately, we achieved what the organization had set out to do and it was a reflection of Don’s ability to build and lead a professional, responsive team. My impressions of Don were sound technical and commercial competencies; integrity; a strong executive presence; and a hard work ethic. I would welcome the opportunity to work with him again. ”
