Poor Pipeline Management Isn’t a Sales Problem—It’s a Leadership One When a pipeline’s a mess, it’s easy to blame the reps. But if your team is consistently chasing unqualified deals, skipping steps, or sandbagging forecasts, it’s time to look in the mirror. Leaders set the tone. If you’re too overwhelmed to inspect the pipeline regularly… if you’re not coaching reps on qualification… if you’re only looking at the numbers once the quarter is already slipping—that’s not a pipeline problem, that’s a leadership gap.
