Robert Davies, MBA, C-CISO, MCMI shared thisSharing for reach.Robert Davies, MBA, C-CISO, MCMI shared thisBest wishes for the holiday season and 2026!! My system, Advanced Client Targeting (ACT), contains every scrap of publicly available information on every trust-based UK pension scheme and its updated daily. Rather than send corporate cards, I'll offer presents to those who are interested, so read on if you work in UK Pensions*. You can either post your requests here or message me offline with your data-mining questions, and I will deliver sample answers (up to 31 companies, schemes, trustees, advisors, or evidence-based opportunities), one for each of the 31 days of December. To make sure you have a competitive edge in 2026, I won't share your answers publicly. Ask away and enjoy the presents! Special prize: All entries go into a draw, and on 25th December, the lucky winner will be granted "three wishes" - full-scope queries to be used through 2026. I do not doubt that, in the right hands with the right question, each one of those three data cuts is worth £millions. Jay * I have ACT projects in motion in non-pension fields such as General Insurance, Auditing, Corporate Finance, M & A and Commercial Banking, so I can deliver presents to you also, if these are your specialisms.

Robert Davies, MBA, C-CISO, MCMI shared thisYes. This.Robert Davies, MBA, C-CISO, MCMI shared thisIs your org's name on this list? When I receive... 1️⃣ Email newsletters I didn't sign up for, 2️⃣ Cold outreach in cases where it's clear my contact information was purchased by a #databroker, or 3️⃣ A Calendar request from someone I don't know ...The domain goes in this list in my Outlook client and it would take a minor miracle to make me consider doing business with that organization or recommend their services to my clients. It's unfortunate that reputation #risk isn't considered when leveraging email-based marketing. Yes, tossing someone's email address into a database and sending them daily emails is as close as matters to free for you as a company. And for a percentage of leads, #business will be conducted. You might even call that a #marketing success. But for a growing number of #consumers who are exhausted by the noise and feel ignored when they seek to protect their right to #privacy, that 'free' email campaign is costing you big dollars as they seek out your competitors instead of you. Your legitimate emails - the ones you sat down and composed with consideration and care - land in the filtered bit bucket next to the AI slop you put on cruise control years ago. Unseen. Unacted upon. It's way past time we all reconsidered this model. In most social situations, 'No' means NO and becoming more forceful in your advances is an invitation to an arrest. If your outreach program resembles the drunken actions of a frat bro with a 🍆 , your inevitable failure is well-earned. #privacyisahumanright

Robert Davies, MBA, C-CISO, MCMI shared thisCheck this out, support Mike if you can.Robert Davies, MBA, C-CISO, MCMI shared thisDespite appearances to the contrary, and a family history going back generations, I didn't serve in the US armed forces. I chose a different path. I have the utmost respect for those that have and continue to serve our nation. For those that have seen and been affected by combat, as well as their families, life is changed forever. Hope For The Warriors®, founded in 2006, has been helping veterans and their families; Rally North America, a group I have proudly represented since 2012, selected Hope specifically for the impact they're making and the good they're doing for the community. Next July, my wife and I will be joining about 70 other teams in the Rally North America Ohio Valley 1200. Our place in the starting grid is dictated by how much money we raise for Hope for the Warriors - we love them as a charity and have supported them several times over the last decade. We also love being near the front of the grid. Guilty. 🏎️ 🔥 Please help us out by Liking, Sharing, and interacting with these posts and, if you can, help us reach our fundraising goal by donating here: https://lnkd.in/grjh6EFJ Everything counts and it all goes directly to Hope. A few years ago, I tried to medicate/substance abuse my way out of Burnout, and it backfired on me. Apparently, that only works on TV. :-) After some help from the VA I am back on track, stronger than ever, living a sober/clean life, and feeling AMAZING. I'm OPEN/AVAILABLE and look forward to new projects and opportunities to help businesses reduce risk and increase resiliency. I also very much enjoy helping my Veteran family and my colleagues improve their quality of life. Please Repost for increased visibility of this important topic.

Robert Davies, MBA, C-CISO, MCMI shared thisIn a nutshell, this is why. Great story, thanks Chris CooperRobert Davies, MBA, C-CISO, MCMI shared thisCEO: “I’m not paying 6 figures just for compliance.” Me: “Okay. Then you should know someone just sat at your desk, in your secure office and took a photo of your unlocked laptop.” CEO: “…What?” [Body] Let me take you back 15 years when I was Head of Security for Flybe, a UK-based airline processing over £2M/day in online bookings. Back then, cyber was seen purely as a cost. Leadership did compliance only because we had to. The company's entire focus was on physical operations: • Planes in the air • Airport apron security • Engineering uptime But their website, ecommerce platform, and booking system pulling in millions of pounds every day weren't even in the security conversation. Until I forced it into one. Leadership tasked me with achieving PCI compliance. I told them it would cost at least 6 figures. The CFO looked like he’d just swallowed a lemon. “Why would we spend that much on something that never happens?” Because when you run £2M/day through your website, that mindset puts planes and humans at risk. So I tried something bold. I brought in a social engineering firm with two simple missions: 1. Get into the CEO’s office, sit at his desk, and take a picture of you on his laptop. 2. Board one of our planes on the apron of our engineering bay, get into the cockpit, and take a photo in the pilot’s seat. They succeeded. On both. Two days later, I walked into the boardroom, mid-way through their cost-cutting talks, and dropped both photographs on the table. Silence. Then, I explained what leadership didn’t see: → If you become known as the airline that got hacked, how much in daily sales do you think that will cost? → If our airline reservation booking system were compromised, could you continue to fly our schedule? → If we cannot accept credit/debit card payments, how long would we survive? Cybersecurity was the airline. They just didn’t see it yet. From that moment forward, the conversation shifted. No longer was security “just a cost.” It became a core part of how we earned, protected, and scaled. By incorporating effective security, Flybe was able to • retain £2M/day in online revenue • reduce its cyber insurance premiums • avoid charge-backs for fraudulent transactions. • give customers the reassurance of being PCI compliant To this day, I tell every SME leader the same: Cyber isn’t insurance for what might happen. It’s the infrastructure that powers what must happen — every single day. If you’re still seeing it as a tickbox exercise, you're leaving risk wide open — and revenue on the table. –– Note: Not the CEO/CFO in the picture below, just a shot of me with friends from a past event.

Robert Davies, MBA, C-CISO, MCMI shared thisDear network. Radley’s the man you’re looking for.Robert Davies, MBA, C-CISO, MCMI shared thisAllow me to re-introduce myself. I'm a battle-tested senior executive with 25+ years of proven success running and optimizing multi-site operations, scaling revenue, and architecting customer-centric growth strategies across hospitality, gaming, and tech-enabled services. I've stewarded P&Ls greater than $350M, EBITDA targets of $145M, and national portfolios surpassing $120M while leading teams as small as 1 and as large as more than 5,000. I specialize in blending the analytical rigor of a McKinsey-style strategist with the empathy of a servant leader, consistently translating board-level vision into results in the field. What I do best (and repeatedly): Architect growth systems. GTM, pricing, and account expansion that compound—powered by my ELEVATE framework. Run complex operations both at single sites and at scale across a portfolio of sites. Multi-site, 24/7 environments with real accountability to P&L and experience. Convert change into advantage. Brand transformations, post-deal integration, and capability building that outlasts a news cycle. Where I’ve done it: Hospitality & Gaming: VP/Assistant GM at Harrah’s Resort Southern California (de-facto COO scope) leading an experiential transformation, launching a new spa, reimagining restaurants, and a tower renovation while protecting guest experience. Tech-enabled & Managed Services: Chief Revenue Officer and, separately, President of Operations at The Service Companies where I re-segmented the business (MS/HS/SS), stood up value-based pricing, operationalized cross-sell/attach, re-designed the GTM organization, and led operations teams at more than 36 hotels and casinos. Enterprise Experience & Revenue: Leadership at Red Rock Resorts (Station Casinos) and Caesars Entertainment on customer experience and continuous improvement optimization across dozens of properties. Experience Management: Built CX↔EX operating models that tie frontline behaviors to financial outcomes. How I lead: Servant leadership, data-driven decisions, and field-tested playbooks. Boardroom clarity, back-of-house credibility. What’s next: I’m exploring VP and higher roles where the mandate is clear. Professionalize, tighten operations, and accelerate value creation both organically and inorganically. If you’re building something ambitious in and want a leader who can design the system, run the business, and ship results, let’s talk. DM me here or comment “intro” and I’ll reach out. If you know me and want to help, but you don't have any open positions at the moment, please like and repost this to help extend my reach. And feel free to send my LinkedIn profile to people in your network who might be looking for someone like me. #growth #construction #suppliers #hospitality #gaming #managedservices #leadership #revenue #operations #opentowork

Robert Davies, MBA, C-CISO, MCMI liked thisRobert Davies, MBA, C-CISO, MCMI liked thisSomeone slid into my DMs last week. Flattering opener. Wanted to learn from me. Said he just landed a high-paying CISO role and needed my guidance. I checked his profile. Fresh MBA. Zero cybersecurity experience. Not a single role in security. Ever. So I asked him what he actually wanted help with. He wanted me to help him do the job. Not learn the job. Do it. He was willing to pay me to be the CISO while he held the title. I sat with that for a minute. Then I thought about the company that hired him. Some board or executive team ran a process, looked at candidates, and handed this person the keys to their entire security posture. The people, the budget, the risk decisions, the incident response. All of it. Nobody asked "has this person ever actually done this?" This isn't a story about one guy trying to fake it. That happens everywhere in every industry. This is a story about organizations that treat the CISO title like a checkbox. Hire the credential, skip the competence, and hope nothing blows up before the next board meeting. It will blow up. It always does. And when it does, nobody remembers who signed off on the hire. The CISO carries it alone. I told him I couldn't help him do his job. That's not mentorship. That's fraud with extra steps. But I meant it as a warning, not a lecture. If you're in that seat and you're not ready for it, the gap between your title and your capability is exactly where the breach lives. 🔔 Follow Michael Reichstein for cybersecurity, leadership, and AI strategy ♻️ Useful? Robert Davies, MBA, C-CISO, MCMI liked thisRobert Davies, MBA, C-CISO, MCMI liked thisIMPORTANT: My IGT and MGM Resorts people. Completely overwhelmed with LinkedIn connection requests and resumes. To set expectation, if you send me a resume, I will respond with a list of questions. Compliance, ability to relocate, compensation. Do not dawdle. Get back to me ASAP. I am going to help as many people as I can. Once you answer the questions, I'll give you my professional opinion. In some cases, I can help. In other cases, you may not be in area of expertise. After 22 years and 1,000+ successful job placements...I'm smarter than the average bear. IMPORTANT: Let It Go! - I was fired exactly once in my life. L.A. Gear - they made the shoes that fall apart. The worst part was I carpooled that day, so I put my personal affects in a cardboard box and sat on the curb outside for an hour waiting for my ride. It taught me several valuable lessons. First, I committed to never working a single day at a job I didn't like. Second, I created a saving account with 12 months of living expenses so I would never have to work a single day at a job I didn't like. Third, I am NOT indispensable. They forgot my name the day I left and replaced me in a week. Here is the best career advice of all time, "The company ALWAYS takes care of the company. You are family...until the day you are not." Fourth, everything happens for a reason. After that debacle, I ended up being massively successful. Worked for two software companies: One went public on the NASDAQ, and we sold the second one (counter-terrorism for the government, funded by CIA) to IBM for $75,000,000. That was just the start. Most folks would tell you I'm the biggest gaming/casino recruiter on the planet. God has a bigger plan for you. Let the IGT/MGM thing go. Get it out of your head. It's not YOU...it's them. Fifth, read the book HALF TIME by Bob Buford. IGT/MGM was just a job. It is NOT your purpose. It is NOT your legacy. God, family, friends. Everything else is a bonus. And every day is a gift from God, that's why they call it "the present." Reconsider your priorities. Hold your family tight. Do not lose sleep over this. YOU WILL GET ANOTHER JOB.

Robert Davies, MBA, C-CISO, MCMI liked thisRobert Davies, MBA, C-CISO, MCMI liked thisSo you have $0 to spend on security. Here's what you should do. Most vendors and suppliers will tell you that you need to buy a military-grade, AI-powered firewall to survive the until next week. You don’t. Before you spend a single penny on shiny new software, implement these 4 basic configurations. They take 15 minutes. They cost absolutely nothing. And they stop 99% of basic email attacks: Firstly, kill Auto-Forwarding. When a hacker gets in, their first move is setting a hidden rule to forward all emails containing the word "invoice" to their personal Gmail. Block external auto-forwarding at the admin level. Secondly, turn on number match MFA. Hackers will spam your phone with MFA approval requests at 3am until you give up and hit "Accept." Force users to type a 2-digit code from their screen instead. Thirdly, block legacy authentication. Old email protocols (like IMAP/POP3) don't understand MFA. Hackers use them to walk right past your security so turn them off across your tenant. And lastly, the [EXTERNAL] banner costs $0 to set up a mail flow rule that flags emails coming from outside your organization. It is the fastest way to stop a fake "CEO" from asking an intern to wire money. Security isn't always about buying more tools. Yes sometimes you do need them. But, usually, it’s just about turning on the features you already have. If you have zero budget but want to make sure these toggles are actually flipped in your Microsoft or Google portal, drop me a message. I’m happy to point you in the right direction for free.

Robert Davies, MBA, C-CISO, MCMI liked thisRobert Davies, MBA, C-CISO, MCMI liked thisThis post is not about AI, nor my business. It's about a dream project I've had for a long time. It's about me publishing a book! And not an AI driven or even aided book. This is a book from the heart where I just felt God saying, "Don't be scared, go ahead, you'll be fine. I have you." Granted, this book is not a true business book, but I hope you'll find the positivity you need to keep going even when everything says to give up. Lost a sale, not the end of the world. Business not growing, nope, not the end of the world. Lost your job, guess what, there is a better one coming. In a world that seems to keep getting smaller, it also seems to be making people feel more alone. YOU ARE NOT. I promise, another person is there with you, going through the same thing somewhere. Another business is struggling just like yours. When you find each other, lift each other. And if you're already touched with blessings; don't point, don't judge, lift because you never know when you might be on the other side. I never thought I'd complete this, so, if you're like me and doubted yourself, had imposter syndrome and delayed ever completing something you dreamt of doing, simply start. I know it sounds easy (I know it's not), but for real. Break it down...and do one thing, then another and another. Perfect wasn't birthed in the beginning; it was sculpted through effort, trial and error. And even if you never get to (your) perfection, "don't let great get in the way of good." "From A Dad's Footsteps: You're Not Alone" built up over time from my being a single dad and having my many "dad-isms" and life lessons. But it wasn't until I had a bout with Cancer last summer that I decided it was time. So with the support of my wife, Jillian Wells Gentile and encouragement from my very close friend Ed Croot, I did it. I have one ask. If you feel alone, reach out to someone...anyone, including me. (Amazon link below, but LinkedIn may not allow that. If you search the entire title, you'll find it. It's also on Etsy as an ebook.) #mentalhealth #lifelessons #strength #emotionalintelligence #accountability #lifeskills #faith #motivation #kindle #amazon #etsy https://a.co/d/06vxxWdo

Are You a Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Company Required to Become CMMC Compliant? The DVMS Institute NIST Cybersecurity Framework Digital Value Management System can help you get there. Full Blog: https://lnkd.in/gSUfB7-F The Digital Value Management System™ (DVMS) provides a robust, adaptive, and capability-driven approach that aligns seamlessly with the goals of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) program in the United States. Designed to ensure that Department of Defense (DoD) contractors safeguard Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and Federal Contract Information (FCI), CMMC mandates that organizations implement cybersecurity practices and institutionalize them as part of their day-to-day operations. This requires more than technical controls—it calls for mature governance, process integration, cultural alignment, and continuous improvement. The DVMS offers this comprehensive framework, transforming CMMC compliance from a checklist exercise into a scalable, organization-wide capability that enhances resilience and performance. At its core, CMMC 2.0. outlines three maturity levels, each building on the previous by adding more advanced cybersecurity practices and deeper institutionalization. These levels correspond to increasing expectations for process maturity—from basic cyber hygiene to proactive, risk-informed cybersecurity management. The DVMS overlays these expectations with its structured capability model, notably the Z-X Model, which defines seven minimal viable capabilities necessary to create, protect, and deliver digital business value: govern, assure, plan, design, change, execute, and innovate. These capabilities are not abstract ideals—they represent operational functions that must be understood, measured, and continually improved to meet the escalating demands of CMMC. The DVMS begins with the foundational principle that cybersecurity must be integrated into an organization’s strategic and operational framework—not treated as an isolated technical domain. This is a direct match with CMMC’s emphasis on institutionalization. In DVMS, cybersecurity is embedded in the CPD Model (Create–Protect–Deliver), ensuring that cyber risk management is central to how digital value is conceived, secured, and delivered. This model helps organizations internalize CMMC practices by showing how each cybersecurity requirement supports the mission of the business and the delivery of services to government customers. Rather than adding cybersecurity on top of operations, the DVMS helps embed it within them, making practices sustainable and repeatable—key criteria for achieving higher CMMC levels.

CMMC compliance is a business imperative – not a box to check. With Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification requirements already appearing in contracts and full enforcement coming fast, defense contractors who delay may face more than high costs. They risk legal exposure, lost revenue and being shut out of future opportunities. With insight from #DoD #CIO Katie Arrington, #cybersecurity #risk and #compliance company CyberRx, and #Tech CEO Emile Sayegh, read my latest Forbes column to learn what leaders need to know about CMMC 2.0, the costs of certification and noncompliance, and why early action is your best competitive advantage. https://lnkd.in/e6t7Rm83 Ola Sage Israel Briggs Greg Smith Matt Grinstead Rachel Bamgbose #CMMC #CMMCCompliance #Cybersecurity #LeadershipStrategy #DefenseContracting #RiskManagement #GovCon
