Dave Bielawa liked thisDave Bielawa liked thisA month of industry exchange, innovation and sustainable process solutions. 🌍 From India to Australia, the PILLER team participated in key industry events focused on industrial decarbonization, energy efficiency and renewable heat applications. 📍 Australian Renewable Heat Conference (ARHC) 2026, Melbourne, Australia Our presentation explored the role of MVR technology and industrial heat pumps in supporting the transition to renewable heat and lower-carbon industrial processes. We also shared insights into the PILLER VapoLine® portfolio and its contribution to sustainable industrial production. During the conference, Jan Hemmerich delivered a presentation titled “Steam Compression Heat Pumps: How the Use of Steam Compression with Industrial Heat Pumps Contributes to Increased Efficiency”. 📍 IFAT India 2026, Mumbai, India At one of the region’s leading environmental technology exhibitions, we connected with professionals from the water, wastewater and process industries, discussing how Mechanical Vapor Recompression (MVR) and industrial heat pump solutions can help improve resource efficiency and reduce energy consumption. Lalit Solanki shared his expertise in the presentation “High-Temperature Heat Pump & MVR Solutions for ZLD Industries”. Yesterday I personally was able to see it at site: it is amazing!Dave Bielawa liked this🌡️ 57 Grad rein, 190 Grad raus. Auf unserer Baustelle in Ludwigshafen wurden die ersten Verdichter für eine der leistungsf��higsten Wärmepumpen weltweit installiert. Künftig wird die Anlage Abwärme aus dem Steamcracker nutzen und in hochwertigen Prozessdampf umwandeln. Die Verdichter sorgen dabei dafür, dass die Temperatur des Dampfes von rund 57 °C auf bis zu 190 °C steigt. So kann Energie, die bisher verloren gegangen wäre, künftig in unserem Produktionsverbund genutzt werden. Ein wichtiger Schritt hin zu einer emissionsfreien Dampferzeugung und zur Transformation unseres Standorts. 💡 Die Wärmepumpe soll Mitte 2027 in Betrieb gehen. #BASF #Ludwigshafen #Wärmepumpe #Energiewende #Innovation #Engineering

Dave Bielawa liked thisDave Bielawa liked thisA landmark MVR project for the sugar industry! 🏭️ Today marks an important milestone in the transformation of industrial sugar production. PILLER and Cosun Beet Company have signed the contract for the V-RISE project at Cosun’s Vierverlaten sugar factory near Groningen, the Netherlands. V-RISE is far more than an individual modernization project. It represents a fundamental redesign of the sugar production process. By combining Mechanical Vapor Recompression (MVR) with continuous evaporation and crystallization, Cosun will significantly reduce its dependence on natural gas and lower the carbon footprint of its operations substantially. As part of the project, PILLER will supply 10 vapor compressors for evaporation and crystallization applications. The scope includes both multi-stage compressor trains and single-stage compressors, which together will constitute the largest and most advanced MVR installations ever implemented in the sugar industry. Several of the units will also rank among the largest MVR compressors engineered and manufactured by PILLER to date. This milestone is the result of several years of close collaboration. Throughout the development of V-RISE, PILLER has supported the Cosun team with technological expertise, process know-how and extensive pre-engineering. The partnership has been characterized by openness, mutual trust and a shared determination to develop a technically robust solution for one of the sugar industry’s most ambitious decarbonization projects. With this contract, PILLER further strengthens its position as leading MVR technology partner to the global sugar industry. Supported by a growing installed base and a robust project pipeline, PILLER is becoming the industry’s largest and most important supplier of MVR compressor technology. V-RISE has the potential to become a landmark project for the sugar industry, demonstrating how fossil-fuel consumption and carbon footprint can be significantly reduced while maintaining efficiency, reliability and competitiveness.
