HARPETH VENTURES ANNOUNCES INVESTMENT IN VENTEUR Harpeth Ventures Opportunity Fund (“Harpeth Ventures”) is pleased to announce its participation in Venteur’s recent $20 million Series A funding round. The round was led by Informed Ventures and American Family Ventures, with participation from Morgan Health, Ingeborg Investments, Catalyst by Wellstar, Plug and Play, Revelry Venture Partners, Houghton Street Ventures, and Techstars. San Francisco-based Venteur is the leading healthcare benefits technology company transforming how employers offer and manage health insurance through Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangements (ICHRAs). Venteur’s platform empowers employers to offer flexible, personalized health benefits by enabling employees to select individual plans that fit their unique needs. Through a combination of technology and concierge support, Venteur helps individuals navigate their healthcare options while driving improved outcomes and greater cost efficiency for employers. More information is available at Venteur.com. “We greatly appreciate Harpeth Ventures’ involvement from both a capital and relationship perspective,” said Stacy Edgar, Co-Founder and CEO of Venteur. “The Harpeth team has already been instrumental in several business development opportunities.” Added Chuck Byrge of Harpeth Ventures, “With our relationship-driven approach, we were fortunate to meet Stacy in early 2024 and have followed their growth closely. Eclipse is proud to be leading Jetson's $50M Series A, partnering with Stephen Lake, Aaron Grant and Matthew Bailey, to deliver the electric home of the future. Jetson is on a mission to power the entire home more efficiently, affordably, and cleanly by reinventing the products and process by which energy infrastructure is installed, financed, serviced, and managed. Starting with heat pumps (the core energy-consuming infrastructure of the home that accounts for $300B in annual consumer spend), Jetson is building a vertically integrated, software-driven home energy ecosystem. This approach is a complete departure from the fragmented, largely manual home energy industry that exists today. Jetson isn't just delivering the economic and environmental benefits of electricity; it's transforming the customer experience. They believe every homeowner deserves an Apple-level experience for critical home infrastructure service, from quote, to install, to operations — and with up to 50% lower cost. A little more than a year after launching, the company is already in more than 1,000 homes across the U.S. and Canada. This is after a breakout 2025 with over 10x growth and a 75 Net-Promoter-Score. Beyond the incredible execution and massive opportunity, Jetson hits home personally for me, for 3 big reasons. First, as a fellow University of Waterloo 🇨🇦 Engineer, I’ve seen Stephen, Aaron, and Matthew execute on trailblazing full-stack products for over a decade. They’re an immensely talented, focused, and grounded team who has irreplaceable chemistry and taste. Second, from my time founding Kojo and investing in the built environment, I've seen firsthand that the existing value chain of installers, suppliers and manufacturers can only gain so much efficiency with new tech. The Jetson team is working from first-principles and owning everything from the hardware, firmware, consumer facing software, all the way to the crews, trucks and warehouse operations. This end-to-end control allows them to deliver a best-in-class product experience, while also shortening the value chain and passing significant cost savings to the customers. Finally, in addition to this great team and opportunity, we’re investing alongside some of our favorite people. Alex Kolicich (8VC), Eric Meyer, Caroline C. (Activate Capital), Mike McCauley (Garage Capital), Mike Winterfield (Active Impact Investments) and Garry Tan. Vertical AI founders are thinking differently about design partnerships. At our Vertical Collective Roundtable last week in SF, 10 founders spanning healthcare, real estate, auto, veterinary, and more weighed in. Several shared best practices emerged: 1. Faster Iteration: Leverage AI prototyping to show responsiveness + ability to do what they can't. Weekly pushes turn skeptics into engaged partners. 2. Target Services Spend: BPO budget, common in most industries + fertile ground for AI, is a great way to capture revenue while refining product scope. 3. Balance Warm vs. Cold: Balance warm intros (which reflect access) with cold outreach to validate genuine, extensible market pull vs. AI tire-kicking. 4. Ideal Partner Count: Consensus around 5-10 design partners for mid-market+, ensuring sufficient diversity & avoiding work dilution / product creep. 5. Evolution from MVP: Prototypes are dime-a-dozen with AI. Distill to solutions that can grow fast + tie to natural next steps in your target vertical workflow. Our Roundtable emphasized that the best Vertical AI design partnerships: + Start earlier (MVPs are cheap + legacy industry AI appetite is real) + Iterate faster (allowing them to be deeper, less transactional) + Can generate revenue sooner (eating services spend) + But still risk being easier to get & harder to convert (AI tire-kicking) Read more here, with 20+ founder quotes across 5 categories: https://lnkd.in/gbgYAAMQ Vertical founders / investors: What common mistakes do you see in structuring AI design partnerships?

Very excited to announce our investment in Charta Health today! At Madrona, we believe the most impactful AI companies don’t just speed up existing workflows — they reimagine them from first principles. Charta Health is building an AI-native platform that transforms chart review from a labor-intensive, error-prone process into a real-time intelligence layer — improving care quality, billing accuracy, and provider efficiency. Karan Mehandru and I have had the pleasure of getting to know founders Justin Liu, Scott Morris over the last couple of years and we’re thrilled to be partnering with them and the entire Charta team — alongside Bain Capital Ventures, SV Angel, Refract Ventures, and South Park Commons! More on why we invested below! 👇 https://lnkd.in/druSN-Na

🚨 Big news from the frontlines of healthcare innovation: Ellipsis Health just announced a $45M funding round led by Salesforce Ventures, Khosla Ventures, and CVS Health Ventures—and it’s making headlines in the Wall Street Journal. We’ve been proud backers of Ellipsis Health at E12 Ventures because they’ve taken a bold, contrarian approach: instead of chasing efficiency at the cost of patient experience, they’ve built an emotionally intelligent AI that brings humanity back to healthcare. Meet Sage — the AI Care Manager trained on millions of real clinical conversations and powered by Ellipsis’ proprietary Empathy Engine. It delivers 24/7 support to patients with complex needs — the same patients who typically slip through the cracks because of capacity constraints and staffing shortages. This is a huge leap forward. Instead of forcing trade-offs between quality and scale, Sage shows we can have both. It’s not just automating workflows — it’s reimagining what scalable, empathetic care looks like. Strategic investors across the ecosystem — payers (CVS), platforms (Salesforce), and deep tech VCs (Khosla) — all recognize the same thing: emotionally intelligent AI is the next frontier in healthcare. Congrats to the Ellipsis team — thrilled to be on this journey with you. #AI #HealthcareInnovation #EllipsisHealth #EmpathyEngine #VentureCapital #DigitalHealth #E12Ventures https://lnkd.in/giVckKyq

Cohere Health’s Series C: Case Study… McKinsey estimates that there is nearly $1 trillion of healthcare administrative expenses each year, of which $200 billion is just on financial transactions. There are a staggering nine billion medical claims processed each year. A hornet’s nest of policies and procedures have evolved to manage these expenses from complex formularies, deductibles, co-pays, and prior authorizations (PA). Just in 2023, there were over 50 million PAs, 99% of which were for procedures for Medicare Advantage members. It was this market opportunity that Cohere Health was created to address. The vision of the company has always been to drive deeper payer/provider collaboration and in so doing create a “touchless authorization” business model. The company has successfully commercialized a suite of next-generation PA products that significantly rearchitect the way care pathways are delivered. Recent advances in AI have further catalyzed a drive to meaningfully improve clinical and administrative efficiencies for payers. In order to continue its rapid scaling and development of additional products, Cohere Health today announced a $90 million Series C financing, led by Temasek, a close partner of Flare Capital. "Build the event you wish existed" That's what we at Monadical did last week at #NYTW. We wanted an AI Engineers discussion for Engineers. There's always a lot of events out there for VCs to network, or for startups to learn about G2M, but very little on lessons learned from actual engineers in the field. So that's the event we hosted. Big thank yous to our awesome panel, Roy Pereira, Ben Cohen and Corey J. Gallon. Here's the key takeaways and the AI tools we're using. 🚀 All three panelists independently called AI Agents the most transformative LLM application they’ve used. They specifically called out Claude 3.5 Sonnet for its accuracy and reliability. 🪨 We dug into how LLMs are “jagged”, not general. They can be shockingly good at some tasks and completely fail at others. Everyone agreed: good evaluations are critical (and hard.) 🧪 Corey noted how public benchmarks and reality are two different things. Most public evals are saturated or gamed. ♊ Ben emphasized that AI projects are actually two projects: building the tool and building the evaluation process. 🧱 We explored how falling dev costs may impact startup defensibility and labor demand. Roy shared that founders are already shifting strategies in response. ⚒️ In a world of daily AI launches, the panel discussed how they decide what’s worth attention, and what’s just noise. They called out tools like Goose, Aider, Claude Code, and Monadical’s own Cubbi, which helps run agentic workflows safely in dev environments. (links in the comments). Late to share but was so great to host Elad Walach (Aidoc), Tanay Tandon (Commure), and Keisuke Nakagawa, MD (UC San Diego Health) at the General Catalyst SF HQ for a conversation about the next-gen healthcare stack. Here are my key takeaways: 💵 Know Your Customer's Financials: Understanding hospital P&Ls is crucial -- designing product that that aligns directly with specific line items ensures clear ROI for buyers. 💼 Regulatory Tailwinds: The Cures Act is transforming data access. Recent rulings now prohibit EMRs from blocking data scraping, paving the way for faster, more straightforward integrations. 🐴 AI as a Strategic Entry Point: Giving commodity product away at a low price can serve as a wedge into more lucrative categories (e.g., from scribing to RCM). 👩💻 From Point Solutions to Platforms: Hospitals are moving away from fragmented tools to prevent the "swivel chair problem." But most platforms start as point solutions focused on high value problems. For too long, pharmacy has sat downstream of care delivery—treated as a fulfillment function rather than a clinical partner. That disconnect has undermined even the most sophisticated care models. At Town Hall Ventures, we believe the next generation of healthcare innovation will close that gap—embedding medication access and optimization into the heart of patient care. When pharmacy becomes an extension of the care team, we can unlock tighter coordination, stronger adherence, better outcomes, and lower costs. We believe AI is the catalyst to make that vision a reality—transforming pharmacy into a proactive, intelligence-driven pillar of care. Over the past year, we’ve had the privilege of diving deep into this space and backing two extraordinary companies redefining the pharmacy experience: House Rx and Arine. Both are proving what’s possible when technology, empathy, and data converge to make pharmacy work better—for patients, providers, payors and the healthcare system. Check out our thoughts here: https://lnkd.in/efN_5A_h
