Those of you who know me know that I am a product nerd and in order to do my job well and lead with authenticity, I need to have a level of passion about the company, the industry and the market... and I'm happy to report I've found that in abundance! Oh, and it doesn't hurt if the people and leaders are really great too. I'm excited to announce that I've joined Okta to lead the Field Enablement team! Being part of this team and organization that has a purpose of protecting and securing identity in everyday work and especially in the age of AI is a tremendous opportunity and I'm grateful to be a part of it. Coming back refreshed (and only slightly sleep-deprived), my biggest hurdle was catching up. That is where Slackbot came in. These sessions are always a great reminder of how quickly the landscape is evolving - and how important it is to stay close to customers as we build. She was diagnosed 5 years earlier and fought it with all she had until she couldn't fight anymore. I've often wondered whether things could have been different if we had known about the symptoms earlier. Maybe I could have pushed more. Maybe she would have had a better chance. Today is World Ovarian Cancer Day, and after meeting the wonderful people at Target Ovarian Cancer, I want to do my part to help spread awareness about the symptoms, so more women, and the people around them, know what to look out for: - Persistent bloating - Feeling full / loss of apetite - Pelvic / abdominal pain - Urinary symptoms (needing to go more often/urgently than usual) These symptoms should be new, frequent and persistent. Please don't ignore them, stay informed and listen to your body.
