Here's how you can collaborate and communicate effectively with designers as a web developer.
Create a separation between your work and who you are as a person. A designer giving feedback about a site you've built shouldn't be taken personally. Designers don't just sit there and try to make their dev's life hard. They want to create something amazing and they need your help to do it! So be open to feedback and feel free to advocate for your implementation choices. Chances are, your designer wants this input! Their knowledge of building and writing code is limited and they are relying on you to explain in ways that help them understand.

Here's how you can collaborate and communicate effectively with designers as a web developer.
I use Figma the most and wow! Dev Mode serves as an incredible bridge between designer and dev. I've gone so far as to create in Figma a software architecture map that gives the designers I work with visibility into how the site they've designed will be implemented. Will designers need ALL the software architecture information? Probably not, but perhaps it sparks something in their process or how they are thinking about their design that, in the long run, helps to strengthen the working relationship between designer and dev. When you can, use the tools that allow both designer and dev to work together as seamlessly as possible.

Here's how you can collaborate and communicate effectively with designers as a web developer.
Designers and Devs are two sides of the same coin. Here are some things I do in my relationships with designers as a dev: Respect designer work: I have a creative eye, but nowhere near those who have studied design in the way designers have. Respecting the work of a designer and understanding that their skillset is just as valuable as development goes a long way! Acquire working design knowledge: Converse in terms that designer and dev can both understand. Now is not the time to flex dev smarts (I would argue it's never the time, but that's a different response to a different article). Let designers dream: I tell my designers to "dream as big as possible" because worst case, we adjust the design and best case, you learn something new!

What do you do if you want to ace your web development interview?
The technical pieces would be HTML, JS, CSS (and/or frameworks), and at least one frontend framework. Best practices in regards to optimization and debugging is definitely important too! Aside from the technical pieces, there is the problem solving aspect of development and coding overall as well as the social piece. Being able to come up with a viable web dev solution, being able to communicate the implementation steps and the technology used, as well as articulating the trade offs and benefits for your solution and approach will set you apart from other applicants. Being able to communicate that you can think ahead in this way is an effective way to stand out.

I am currently working on a research project that harnesses the core concepts of User Experience Research (UXR) in order to truly reach all students within a classroom as seamlessly as possible. The rationale for this project is I am not satisfied with believing the notion that, in any given school year, teachers will effectively reach 80% of their students and the 20% who don’t reach learning proficiency “are to be expected.” By harnessing UXR, I am able to bridge the gap between the goals of…

Critical Historical Thinking Teaching Framework
-
Learning Objective:
The objective of a Critical Historical Thinking Framework is to help students learn how to gather and organize pertinent facts, discriminate between fact and fiction, draw intelligent conclusions, and promote civil discourse.
Rationale:
Students should have opportunities to discuss controversial issues which have political, social, or economic significance and those in which students are mature enough to investigate and address.

Photography Portfolio
-
My hope is not only showcasing work I am passionate and proud of, but to also provide context for the experiences I go through with each project. I primarily shoot black and white film, but I do use digital from time to time. I like to use film when I am trying to tell a story with the photos, whereas digital is used for the “fun” shoots–such as parties, events, and boudoir. Of course, the choice of film or digital is a case by case thing!

cultural norms onto individuals whom the data used to formulate theories and methodology of
psychiatric practices does not apply? Furthermore, is this a problem practitioners and scholars of
psychology should repair? What implications might this have on interreligious dialogue and
notions of authenticity as it pertains to psychology and the administration of psychological
counseling? How can we, as students and/or practitioners of psychotherapy and theology,
constructively and creatively come to terms with a practice that has historically been known to
impose cultural norms on to the very people it seeks to help? -

This study was designed in order to study emotional memory and whether or not an emotional charge will affect an individual in an attention task, such as a memory recall test.
In this experiment, participants were instructed to watch a slideshow containing 30 slides with a word superimposed on a face. The slideshow included the four following treatment conditions: Fearful face, fearful word (FF); fearful face, neutral word (FN); neutral face, fearful word (NF); and neutral face, neutral word (NN). After watching the slideshow, all participants were given between 5 to 10 minutes to write down as many words as they could remember. All participants were exposed to all four treatment conditions. Out of all four treatment conditions, we hypothesized that when the word matched the face (FF and NN), participants would be more likely to remember the word superimposed on the face than when the word did not match the face it was paired with (FN and NF).
The results showed that participants did, in fact, remember the words that matched with the face more than the words that did not match. These findings showed that emotional memory and the ability of someone to successfully recall events or, in this case words, depends on the context in which the stimuli is superimposed.
Most studies have been done on the context, or setting such as the room the study is taking place in, and how the context affects how well an individual is able to retain information. This experiment aims to study the effects of the context the word is superimposed on, such as the different faces used in the slideshow. These findings may impact the way we deal with patients suffering from depression as well as understanding emotional memory and cognition, in general.Other creators -
