I often mix a few personal experiences into my posts, but this one might be the most personal I've written in a while 💖
Friday was school graduation day here in Madrid, and as I watched my daughter walk across that stage, I found myself experiencing a whirlwind of emotions that is difficult to put into words.
On one hand a warm mix of Pride, Joy & Gratitude … but also that bittersweet realization that an important chapter has come to an end. Not only for her, but for me as well.
As parents, we spend years helping our children take their first steps, guiding them through challenges, celebrating victories, comforting disappointments, and somehow believing there will always be a little more time.
Then suddenly, you find yourself sitting in a graduation ceremony wondering how those years passed so quickly (and feeling guilty of missing out on too many occasions).
I caught myself thinking about my own youth, my own dreams, and the excitement of stepping into an unknown future. And now, here she is, ready to begin the next chapter of hers.
What makes me proud is not only her academic achievements - although she has every reason to be proud of those too. What fills my heart most is the person she has become. Her empathy. Her character. Her resilience. Her curiosity. The way she treats others. The maturity and confidence she has developed over the years.
So this post is really a love letter to my daughter 💝
My dear daughter, watching you grow into the amazing young woman you are today has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. You have exceeded every expectation, not because of grades, awards, or accomplishments, but because of the person you have become.
I could not be prouder of you 😍
Thank you for all the moments that made me laugh, made me worry, made me learn, and most of all, made me grateful to be your father.
I wish you all the happiness, success, adventures, friendships, and opportunities that the world has to offer. Whatever comes next, know that I will always be cheering you on from the sidelines (while occasionally embarrassing you with proud-father photos and stories 😂🙈)
In business, we often celebrate milestones, like graduations, promotions, new jobs, career changes, and achievements that mark the beginning of something new. They are all important moments.
But this one was different.
This was one of the most emotional and meaningful milestones I have ever experienced.
Congratulations, my girl. The future is yours, and I can't wait to see where it takes you ❤️
