For Artists / Producers that follow me and want to get into Sync - Here are 3 tips that are simple to apply but so necessary. 1. Make sure your music is clearable. Don't use uncleared samples + If you use splice or other samples... Change the key / tempo! You can always test it with Shazam and see if it picks up a song that's already used that sample. 2. Along the same lines as # 1 - Have all your songwriters data in order. This includes outside contributors. And if you can make it all one stop with you that will simplify a supervisors life - it's not always possible if writers have an admin or outside publisher but try your best. 3. Make music that's dope and JUST HAPPENS to be great for sync. Supervisors know a sync record when they hear one. There is definitely a market for it but the more you just make dope music - the better chance you have at getting dope placements. Happy Syncing!

This is how I use AI based tools from Forte Audio and SoundFlow to prep my Avid Pro Tools session for music mixes. AI tools are very effective when used as an aide to your work. Rather than using it to finalize everything and getting an output that wouldn’t be you, repurpose it to speed up in automating mundane tasks that would serve no creative purposes. Horizontal audio meters, receiver info viewable in Discovery, a new linear filtered render mode, and an improved web editor. All coming next week in the newest Multiview for NDI release. Discovery in NDI 6.2 is the most underrated feature ever. Beyond just controlling what sources get output where, NDI-enabled receivers can also report their diagnostic info in Discovery. This is a fantastic first step in troubleshooting a setup, or validating that you're receiving NDI sources in your expected protocol and on the right IP address - especially important in multi-NIC scenarios. The newest discovery features in NDI 6.2 are a breeze to work with on an API level. I've already got more ideas than time to implement... More to come later this summer, but expect this release to hit your inboxes sometime next week. And yes - at the end of the month, I've got an official MacOS build planned. By the way - have you seen the docs for Multiview for NDI? If not, check them out. I just added a new section on how to output your Multiview for NDI instance to a web page using Joe de Max's Central Control. Gnomon alum Wesley Krieger Gnomon (class of '20) and the Halon Entertainment VAD team shared a Virtual Production demo at the Trilith stage—one of the largest LED Volumes in the world. Their real-time environment allowed for live adjustments to lighting and assets, showing off the tech to top execs.
