Brandon Brotsky shared thisAI could get a million times better over the next three years. That sounds absurd—until you stop thinking about AI progress as one technology improving in isolation. Faster GPU interconnects and photonics could deliver major speed improvements. Hardware will become more efficient. Models will get smarter. Open-source development will accelerate optimization. And increasingly capable AI will help researchers improve AI itself. A 2x improvement here, a 5x improvement there, and a 10x improvement somewhere else don’t add together—they multiply. Open-source models may be one of the biggest catalysts. Companies will increasingly be able to run flagship-level intelligence on their own infrastructure, train it on proprietary data, and maintain greater control over privacy, security, and cost. Today, that requires extremely expensive hardware. But history suggests that models requiring a data center today could be optimized to run locally—or even on a phone—much sooner than most people expect. This is already changing how I approach software development. I’m moving away from thinking about AI agents as individual assistants and toward managing them as a fleet. In the future, a CTO may oversee entire AI-driven departments made up of thousands of specialized agents working, reviewing, testing, and improving software simultaneously. Every business should be asking: How would our strategy change if AI became dramatically faster, cheaper, and more capable over the next three years? Brandon Brotsky shared thisOn Friday night, I created a little AI bot that trades Kalshi (prediction market) events based on ones that are likely to have insider trading. It mainly bought bets about who the Supreme Leader of Iran will be right before the news broke out about Ali Hosseini Khamenei being killed. The AI chose this event to focus on and executed the trades on its own. For the nerds that care about how it works, I used candle stick data and had AI spot large trades that seem like someone is overly confident about something that is about to happen. It used the Kalshi API. Events are classified with a “insider risk score” by Claude Haiku 4.5 and then chart data is analyzed by a mixture of Sonnet 4.6 and Opus 4.6. The trades were relatively small, I made maybe $15 and spent more on AI tokens. Thanks for idea Matthew Nussbaum, CFA ! This is not investment advice.

Brandon Brotsky shared thisAI agents have been a huge part of my software development workflow over the last year, and background agents have allowed me to work on multiple tasks at once. A big pain point for me has been visibility into my agents. I need to know when an agent is finished and needs my attention so I can get work into production faster. Some AI providers offer ways to handle this, but I often switch between agents for different strengths, rate limits, context windows, programming languages, and cost. TaskVoice.com is solving this problem. This example uses Charlie Labs' AI agent, which provides detailed progress updates via GitHub PR comments. They’re fantastic—but I often come back to a PR and realize the agent finished hours ago. That means the PR could have shipped much sooner if I’d known it was ready for review. (By the way: I strongly recommend Charlie's AI for #TypeScript projects, it's incredible and they offer a generous free tier for testing.) Thanks Jerrod Engelberg and Riley for extra dev credits that made this integration possible! I've currently integrated Charlie and Cursor's Cloud Agents into TaskVoice. Brandon Brotsky shared thisIn the last 2 days, I shipped weeks of work in just two days — because of TaskVoice.com! I just recorded a walkthrough showing how TaskVoice accelerates real development, not just code generation. What’s new and working in practice: • A new workflow animation that visually explains the full lifecycle: planning → tasks → agents coding → PRs → AI testing → merges → analytics • A redesigned workflow analytics panel so you can see status, logs, agent behavior, and leave comments — all in one place • A major upgrade to planning: conversational, repo-aware, and grounded in actual code via hybrid search and in-house indexing • Dozens of PRs created in a single day, many with hundreds or thousands of lines of complex code • Automated fixes for merge conflicts and failed checks on GitHub Actions before they even become problems The key shift: I can now approve a clear, structured plan before any code starts, then watch agents execute it end-to-end. Each improvement compounds my speed and accuracy! This isn’t “AI helping you code.” It’s AI running the entire development workflow with guardrails. Brandon Brotsky shared thisQuick progress update on TaskVoice.com! This video shows what I’ve been building over the past week — with a big focus on making planning conversational, tightening up the UI/UX across the entire workflow, and a new QA checklist feature! Instead of rigid forms or one-shot prompts, planning is now a back-and-forth conversation. The AI asks only what it actually needs, understands the codebase via RAG, and adapts the plan in real time as I refine scope (frontend-only, constraints, etc.). It feels much closer to how you’d collaborate with a strong engineer than how you’d fill out a ticket. From there, everything flows: • Conversational planning → structured execution • Auto-generated plans and tasks • Linear issues created automatically • Immediate assignment to AI agents • Cloud-based coding and GitHub PRs • AI code reviews and QA checklists • Timing + metrics to improve the system itself The improved UI/UX makes all of this visible and controllable instead of feeling like a black box. The best part: this isn’t theoretical anymore. I’m already using TaskVoice to build TaskVoice itself and to deliver client projects more quickly and with better consistency. It’s actively shaping how I work day to day. I'm still early but it's evolving fast! I'm super excited!

It’s still early (about a month in), but the goal is to automate end-to-end software workflows with AI — from planning to tickets to agents shipping code. The first customer is my dev agency, Brotsky, LLC to improve how we deliver AI software for our clients. I want to ship higher-quality work faster by automating the process, not just the code. In the video, I show how a rough idea turns into a plan, a Linear ticket, and an AI agent that creates branches, PRs, and preview apps. I’ve also built other features, including an AI code reviewer, AI QA tester, AI contract reviewer, AI intake forms, and multiple integrations. I’ll be sharing more as I continue polishing things up. It’s still very early and evolving, but I’m excited to share a first look.

Aaron Freeman sweet! I built one for the main product I’ve been working on. We mainly use it as a debugging tool for Claude Code but because it’s authenticated to each user it’s able to be used for all users, no matter the role. I imagine that strategy would be amazing with Upwell’s tech too.

Brandon Brotsky liked thisBrandon Brotsky liked this🎓 I built the tool that shouldn't need building: something to track CE requirements across multiple certifications. If you hold more than one credential in security, privacy, or project management, you already know the pain. CISSP, CIPP, PMP, vendor certifications, etc. Every issuer runs its own clock. One resets on your cert anniversary, another on the calendar year. One caps "informal learning," another doesn't care what you call it as long as you did it. Multiply by 5+ credentials and "just use a spreadsheet" stops being advice and starts being a dare. I say this as someone who's let a credential lapse because I lost the thread on what I'd earned vs. what I still owed. Not a great look for someone whose job is tracking things. So I built Cyclyst, a self-hosted dashboard that tracks progress across every credential in one place. The optional automation layer (calendar scanning, issuer-portal submission) runs through live, MCP-connected Claude sessions, real agentic tooling, not a cron job, but every single write is HITL-only. No auto-anything. Every action needs a real person clicking "yes." I'm paranoid about that on purpose, and yes, I know exactly what that phrase means to the AI governance crowd. Also going to be honest about my motives: this was a genuinely fun excuse to get back into full-stack Python with Claude Code, and the best side effect wasn't the code, it was finally "truing up" my PDUs instead of discovering three days before a deadline that I'm 12 hours short. My last open-source contribution was a Claude Skill (secleader-eval). This is the level up: a real, self-hosted, full-stack app. Where this goes next, I'm not entirely sure yet either. Tech teaser: Flask + server-rendered Jinja2, HTMX for interactivity (no SPA, no build step, no framework of the month), SQLite, ReportLab for PDF exports, and human-in-the-loop MCP-connected browser automation for portal submissions, with every step gated on explicit go-ahead. It's very much BETA. Rough edges, opinionated defaults, only a couple of credential bodies deeply supported so far.
