Two Claude Code agents. Same repo. Same task. One is flying blind. The other has the Teamwork Graph. 🦯 The blind agent? Dove into local files, hallucinated a schema, and confidently shipped a plan that would’ve broken production with duplicate notifications. Classic AI: fast, confident, wrong. 🧠 The agent with the Teamwork Graph? It did something no one expects an AI to do — it stopped and thought first. Pulled up Confluence docs. Found a hidden dependency in a separate repo. Built a mental model of the system. Then wrote the correct solution, faster and cheaper. 🔑 This is the unlock: AI agents that work the way great engineers work. They don’t just read code — they read the room. The design decisions in your pages. The dependencies across your repos. The product intent buried in your PRDs. All connected, all permissions-aware, all in real time. 🛞 And here’s the flywheel: the more your team works across Atlassian, the richer the graph gets, and the smarter your agents become. 🤝 Context isn’t a nice-to-have. It’s the difference between an agent that ships bugs and one that ships features.

Write them a direct message telling them that. Better yet include their manager on that message. Or think of a colleague you think may look burned out and ask them how they’re genuinely doing. A good word and sincere interest from a fellow human means so much. Often more than anything material the workplace can ever offer.

Avinoam Zelenko shared this78 years of independence and freedom for Israel today. In Israel the day right before Independence Day is actually Memorial Day - a national day of mourning for fallen soldiers and victims of terrorism. It’s a very personal day for everyone given how deeply interwoven serving in the IDF is with the culture as service is mandatory for everyone at the age of 18 for a minimum of 2-3 years, which means everyone knows the price of freedom first hand and everyone carries personal loss. The immediate transition to celebrating independence always feels so strange but also reminds me that we are here to ultimately celebrate life and be grateful to those who made and continue to make one more day of freedom possible. Happy 78th birthday Israel - may this year bring light, love, and peace - to all. Amen.

It is probably not the best of times to voluntarily leave a job that is interesting and filled with great people (thank you @Pagaya). But sometimes you have to take care of yourself, and after a particularly intense period, I am taking some time off to recharge, recover, and catch up with things I enjoy that do not involve moving Jira tickets to Done. It is also a good opportunity to reconnect with friends and colleagues. I will probably start exploring new opportunities around August or September, ideally leadership roles in data science with a strong research component. If something comes to mind, I'd be happy to hear about it.

Being elected mayor of New York City — one of the greatest cities in America and the world — was not just a political victory. It was a sacred responsibility. It was an opportunity to become the mayor of all New Yorkers: Jews, Muslims, Christians, Hindus, Sikhs, people of every faith and no faith. New York has been led through difficult times before by leaders who understood that the mayor’s job is not to divide, but to protect; not to inflame, but to unify; not to use communities as political tools, but to serve them with dignity. Sadly, Mayor Mamdani is letting this opportunity slip away. As a Muslim woman and faith leader, I object deeply when my religion is used as a political weapon. Islam does not teach us to isolate Jews. Islam does not teach us to intimidate our neighbors. Islam does not teach us to turn religious identity into a tool of division. This is not about faith. This is about politics. Mayor Mamdani still has a chance to redeem this moment. He can say: enough. I am the mayor of all New Yorkers. I will stand with my Jewish constituents. I will walk in the Israel Day Parade. I will affirm that Jewish Americans and Israeli Americans belong in New York, that the Jewish people have a historic and spiritual connection to the land of Israel, and that Israel has a right to exist in peace and security. That would be leadership. That would be courage. That would be the kind of moral clarity New York deserves. But if he refuses, then history will remember this as a dark period for New York — a time when religion was used to divide people, when Jewish New Yorkers were made to feel abandoned, and when a mayor chose ideology over unity. New York deserves better. Muslims deserve better. Jews deserve better. America deserves leaders who bring the children of Abraham together — not leaders who tear them apart. https://lnkd.in/eMc5pvsf

In other words, that means that Jira can solve any computational problem or simulate any other computer, provided it has enough time and memory. Nicolas Seriot mapped a Minsky register machine onto Jira automation. The mapping is super clean: - Two work item types (Bugs and Tasks) → unbounded counters - An Epic's workflow status → the program counter - Automation rules → the instruction set - Work item creation and deletion → increment and decrement He ran 2 + 3 = 5 on a live Atlassian Cloud instance using one Epic, five linked issues, and two automation rules. Then he built a Fibonacci generator in three states, using Convert Work Item Type as a shortcut. His line: "If complex Jira automations feel like programs, it is because they literally are." So next time someone complains their Jira workflow is too complicated, you can tell them it's computationally universal.
