Smith School of Business for the advisory councils celebratory day. The day started with Dean Prabhudev Konana's conversation with Stephen M. Schanwald ’77, a trailblazer in sports marketing and former EVP of Business Operations for the Chicago Bulls, who made an incredibly generous donation to the Sports Management program at Smith. We then went to the breakout rooms and our #MasterInManagement (#MiM) council #shined as always (including members flying in just for the day(!)): Tyrone Brooks, Jasmine Crooks, PMP, Andy Dharmani, Roger Echeandia, John Farrell, Michael Gibson, Jeremy Kinder, Richard Leggett, Akash Magoon, Adrian W. Rich, Jonathan Schneider, Sehej Singh, Bryan Swann, Joel Willcher, David Yang, Anna Yankova, PMP., MBA. We had discussions with our MPO team (Kim Gonzalez and Amy Swann) as well as with the admission team (Kelcey C.) and faculty (Wendy R. Sanhai, Ph.D., M.B.A.) followed by student panels from the in person program (Demetrius Arnett, Sai Aakash Chanda, Akira Douglas, Xylea Keyfauver, Philip Ismail, Lance Levitt, Randi W.) and the online (#OMiM) program (Honora Hammett Banko, Candace Hopkins, Andrikka Jones, Keyerra Owens) and a networking reception. Some of the students also #showcased their #experiential learning projects from last Spring. We were all laser-focused on how to make this gem program, that takes a #holistic #view of our students and prepares them to be the #leaders of tomorrow in any domain they are #passionate about, even better! Fortunate to work alongside Roy Thomason and these incredible advisory council members who are such an important pillar of our program, providing #mentoring, #experientiallearning and invaluable #support to our students. Thank you! And of course, fortunate to be with these a-m-a-z-i-n-g students, who keep pushing forward to make a positive change in the world, whether in #education, #science, #business, or as #publicservants. #GoTerps! This is the first time in Deal Noire's history we've broken three digits. Every forum before this, from New York to Atlanta to Charlotte, has been under 100. On Tuesday, Nova Connections powered the networking at the inaugural ISACA Atlanta Chapter SheLeadsTech Summit, CEO of Your Career. OptimaNova AI served as a Community Partner alongside AnitaB.org, and I got to watch a room full of cybersecurity professionals meet the people they came to meet. Two moments stay with me. At happy hour, a pair from one of the day's strongest matches found each other. They smiled, laughed, and discovered they had plenty in common. That morning, Jack Clonts, CISM of Onspring suggested a way for matches to schedule time together. We built it on the spot. It went live at 10:54 AM, and the first meeting request landed at 11:02.
