The challenge was to quickly load 1000s of tapes of card data into an IBM DB2 database on a 100+ node IBM SP2 MPP computer to serve analytical analysis models accessed through Cognos. ETL was written in C++ using Torrent's Orchestrate framework. I wrote the tape loading logistics software to feed the data warehouse and some of the smaller ETL processes.
