Audio inputs are used to transcribe the text-based conversation data, but the audio itself is not stored.

Your questions, responses, and personal information is translated into prompts for a generative AI model. At this time, LinkedIn uses Microsoft's Azure OpenAI API service to power the feature. Learner inputs are processed by LinkedIn using the Microsoft service, but are not accessed by Microsoft or OpenAI except by Microsoft in circumstances described here.

LinkedIn may use automated or human review of conversation data for quality assurance and product improvement purposes.

• AI-powered coaching personalizes the conversation based on your company and title from your LinkedIn profile (if connected) as well as your career goal, followed skills, and learning history in LinkedIn Learning. This information can be edited at any time.
• Role play personalizes the conversation based on your name.

Yes. Here's how:

• Consumer or Premium subscribers can request exports through LinkedIn and delete their data by following the steps in this Help Center article.
• Enterprise learners who access LinkedIn Learning through their organization can request export or deletion of their data through their admin.

Yes. Admins can turn off access to different generative AI features for their organization in admin settings. Please refer to the Help Center article for each feature for specific steps to disable.

Full admins can request export of conversation data for individual learners by contacting Learning support.

Full admins can delete learner conversation data by requesting through Learning support or deleting the learner’s LinkedIn Learning account in admin settings.

Yes. Admins can access a setting to opt out of storing conversation data for their organization for the standard one-year period. Select Customize > Learner Features, and toggle off Data storage for learner AI features.

If your organization opts out of conversation data storage, your learners may not be able to access certain capabilities of our interactive AI features that rely on stored conversation data.
