The AI-powered coaching feature can help you find LinkedIn Learning content across all professional skills. The feature uses generative AI tools to convert your prompt into a search query. It responds with LinkedIn Learning course, video, or learning path recommendations within the language library and may include a brief description of the content. It may also explain topics based on general insights sourced from Open AI.

If you write prompts related to Leadership and Management, Professional Development, and Career Development, the feature may also summarize LinkedIn learning video transcripts to explain topics or offer actionable advice and examples (available in the English language library only).

If you use the experience embedded in the search bar, you will get content recommendations informed by AI-powered coaching at the top of the search results page, with standard, filterable search results beneath it.

When you ask questions about Leadership and Management, Professional Development, and Career Development, AI-powered coaching’s advice, examples, and explanations often reference courses and videos published by LinkedIn Learning (English only). Currently, it does not support custom content uploaded by an organization‘s admins or third-party content providers. 

When you ask questions about other skills or topics, the feature may pull general insights from OpenAI to respond to the learner before recommending content published by LinkedIn Learning.

The feature personalizes the conversation based on your company and title from your LinkedIn profile as well as your career goals, followed skills, and learning history in LinkedIn Learning. You can edit this information at any time.

The full-screen experience may ask you clarifying questions to better understand your needs and often responds with several content recommendations throughout the conversation. However, capacity is limited, so you may receive an error message when demand is high. If this happens, please return later and try again.

If you are using the full-screen experience, reload or refresh the page to start a new conversation. 

If you are using the experience embedded in the search bar, write a new prompt in the search bar at the top of the page to start a new conversation.

Click the Like or Dislike icons next to the response and provide feedback through surveys in the product.

Admins can turn off access for their organization in admin settings. Select Customize > Learner Features, and turn off AI-powered coaching.
