We’re honored to receive the 2025 American Astronautical Society (AAS) Advancement of International Cooperation Award for our ‘Galactic 01’ mission. This recognition celebrates meaningful, long‑lasting contributions to international collaboration in space. ‘Galactic 01’ carried three Italian Air Force astronauts and more than a dozen research payloads aboard VSS Unity, demonstrating how commercial suborbital flight is expanding global access to space. The mission showcased what’s possible when global partners come together: groundbreaking scientific research, strengthened alliances, and new opportunities for countries to advance their space capabilities. This award is testament to the dedication and ingenuity of our Virgin Galactic teams and the incredible partnership with the Aeronautica Militare and the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche. Together, we turned a bold idea into a milestone that will shape the future of international space collaboration.
