Have you ever shared an "Anyone with the link can edit" file? How confident are you in knowing how many people currently have access to it? 🧐 SharePoint users can often develop a false confidence when using folders and sharing links. A user, usually working with an external vendor, will create a folder with the link "Anyone with the link can edit". Later, a SharePoint admin may click a file and see a message: "More people may have access because this file is in a shared folder." Are those people in the organization? What kind of access do they have? When did they last access it? This type of message does not provide a clear picture of who has access and what level of access they have, often giving a false sense of security that the file is secure. The solution?
