Measure results in outcomes, not hours. Work-life balance isn’t about clocking in and out — it’s about focusing on outcomes. Here’s how we make sure our people understand. Sometimes, people come to me, struggling with work-life balance, assuming the company expects them to be always on. That’s not the reality, and at Multiplier, we don’t track hours. Perception, however, becomes reality if left unaddressed. So it’s on us as leaders to make it clear: We don’t expect you to be working 24/7. We expect you to deliver results, yes, but we also expect you to take care of your hobbies, your well-being, and your family. I often return to India to be with my parents, making sure I do my part at work while also being present for them. That balance isn’t just accepted at Multiplier; it’s encouraged. If you love golf, play golf. Don’t give it up because of work. This is why communication matters. Sometimes, what seems obvious to leadership isn’t obvious to employees. We should be constantly modelling behavior and communicating expectations so no one is left guessing about what’s truly expected of them. No topic is off-limits. No concern is too small.
