The The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa recently welcomed Aaron Garcia as the Pete Dye Resort Course’s new golf course superintendent. Garcia will oversee the agronomy operations of the resort’s 18-hole Pete Dye-designed course, practice facilities and clubhouse landscape maintenance. Garcia is an accomplished superintendent with more than 12 years of experience and a proven track record of delivering high-quality playing conditions through strong agronomic expertise, disciplined operational management and a commitment to environmental stewardship. Garcia comes to the Westin Rancho Mirage from Indian Wells Golf Resort in nearby Indian Wells where he served as superintendent and led agronomic operations and contributed significantly to the recent Players Course renovation, working alongside architect John Fought. Seminole Legacy Golf Club recently hosted the 2026 NCAA Tallahassee Women's Golf Regional from May 11-13, solidifying its status as a premier collegiate golf venue. The Florida State University women's golf team leveraged their home course advantage to secure a second-place finish, marking their 10th consecutive trip to the NCAA Championships, played May 22-27 in Carlsbad, California. At the NCAA Championships, the Seminoles finished tied for 23rd overall.   “Hosting the NCAA Regional is a testament to our club's commitment to providing a championship-caliber venue," said Seminole Legacy Golf Club General Manager Jaxon Hardy. We’re excited to share that Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club has been selected by the Utah Golf Association to host the 2030 Utah Women’s State Amateur and the 2031 Men’s State Amateur Championships. With a legacy dating back to 1899, the Utah State Amateur Championship is recognized as the longest continuously held amateur golf tournament in the world. Brian Mackey, Director of Instruction at BallenIsles Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., participated in the Golf Fore Veterans 24-Hour Golf Marathon in support of veterans and their families on Sunday, May 24 and Monday, May 25 at Hamilton Farm Golf Club in Gladstone, New Jersey. The Golf Fore Veterans 24-Hour Golf Marathon is a charity event where golfers play continuously for 24 hours over Memorial Day weekend to raise awareness and funding for veteran care programs. The event was co-founded by Mackey in 2024 to honor those who have sacrificed and to support those dealing with the mental impacts of war.   Mackey played golf for 24 hours straight alongside two fellow golf professionals, with the group completing 600 holes between them. What once began as a 12-hour golf challenge has evolved into a more ambitious 24-hour marathon. The 2026 event marked the third year that Mackey has participated in the golf marathon, one year individually and the other two with fellow golf professionals. Troon® has been selected to manage Wohali Golf Club in Coalville, Utah. Troon Privé, the private club division of Troon, will oversee club operations, agronomy, retail and membership sales and marketing. Wohali is a master-planned mountain community located 43 miles northeast of Salt Lake City and just minutes north of Park City. The Club’s 18-hole “Eagle” course traverses a secluded mountain valley while offering views of Lewis Peak. Set at an elevation of 6,500-plus feet, the par-72 layout measures 7,566 yards from the back tees.
