Today Thriveworks launched its 2026 Pulse on Mental Health report. This is the third installment of our annual study, conducted with Wakefield Research, examining how people think about, access, and engage with mental health services. This year revealed that, for the first time, a majority of Americans (62%) have consulted a mental health professional at least once. This represents a true cultural turning point in awareness, acceptance and adoption. However, with only 27% currently in care, despite 85% of those who’ve tried it saying it made a meaningful difference in their lives, there’s still a lot of work to be done around access, helping people find the right fit, and supporting longer-term engagement. Cost of living once again topped the stressors of Americans, but dropped meaningfully in points, making way for growing concerns around politics and global events, family dynamics and job security. And it wouldn’t be a mental health study in 2026 without diving into the AI of it all. Our research found that its use in society is also triggering anxiety, while also being explored as a support tool. Still, human-to-human connection trumps tech, with 64% of people saying they trust human therapists more. For the full report, link is in the comments!

Urgent care is becoming one of the most important entry points for behavioral health, but for many systems, the handoff is still too disconnected. At Amplify 2026, Matthew Gibson joined David Caltrider, MD and Ernie Wallerstein Jr. to talk about what it takes to better connect urgent care and behavioral health. One point came up quickly: the need is already there, but the systems around it often are not. Patients are showing up in urgent care with behavioral health needs every day. The real challenge is what happens after that visit and whether there is a clear, practical path to ongoing care. That’s where better integration matters. Not just more access, but stronger referral pathways, better follow-up, and less friction for both patients and care teams. Matt shares a few takeaways from the conversation and where urgent care leaders have an opportunity to build smarter behavioral health pathways. Read more: https://lnkd.in/gxG9f44j

We're proud to share that our CEO, Daniel Frogel, MD, has been named to Becker's Healthcare's Great Healthcare Leaders of 2026 list! At Thriveworks, Dan is pushing the healthcare industry out of silos, working to bridge the gap between behavioral health and primary care through deep integration with health systems - a passion influenced by his years as a physician in emergency and as an executive in urgent care. Just as central to his leadership is a commitment to investing in and supporting clinicians, grounded in the belief that when clinicians are well-supported, patients receive better care and outcomes improve. Congratulations, Dan, on the well-deserved recognition! You can view the full list of great leaders here: https://lnkd.in/eF-xrxgw

As part of events surrounding the iconic SXSW in Austin recently, our Chief Strategy Officer, Jenny Welling-Palmer, joined an illuminating panel on how women build, lead, and evolve through life's many seasons. Jenny joined an inspiring group of women positioned at the intersection of female leadership and women's health, including Nyakio Grieco of thirteen lune, Sarah Hollingsworth of Poppylist and Aniesia Williams of dreambloc, each offering honest, hard-earned perspectives on navigating both professional and personal change. Thank you to JADEVA and TaleSplash for the invitation.

Fresh from Florida and the Behavioral Health Business VALUE Conference, Thriveworks Chief Strategy Officer Jenny Welling-Palmer and VP of Strategy Charity Minerva, Esq. spent a great few days connecting with members of the behavioral health community in Orlando. Jenny joined Behavioral Health Business Executive Editor Robert Holly and other industry leaders on stage for the Town Hall session, The Behavioral Health Payment Landscape in 2026, discussing the evolving payer environment and what it means for access, sustainability, and value-based care. Great conversations and connections also took place outside the conference walls. Jenny joined the Behavioral Health Business team for dinner at the Four Seasons hosted by Medwriter, while Charity attended an Orlando Magic game hosted by Brellium. Brellium. A big thank you to the Behavioral Health Business team for bringing together industry changemakers for another fantastic event.

Recently, our Partnership Manager, Keli Monahan, attended an employee health fair in St. Helena, California, for one of our valued health system partners, Adventist Health. The event provided an opportunity to connect face-to-face with Adventist Health team members and share more about the Thriveworks benefit included in their employee health plan: free, unlimited access to comprehensive mental health services for employees and their family members. Partnerships like this are designed to support the people who care for others every day, reducing barriers to care they often face. Thriveworks is proud to be making a meaningful impact through our growing health system collaborations by strengthening workforce wellbeing and expanding access to integrated behavioral health services for both providers and the patients they serve. Thank you to Rick Anderson, Jr., MS, Rosa Therene, and the rest of the Adventist Health team for the opportunity.
