We are extremely grateful to the volunteer physicians who give their incredibly valuable time to go out in the field with our Outreach and Health teams — bringing vital healthcare directly to our unhoused neighbors and those living in extreme poverty. 🙏 A very special shoutout today to Dr. Ryan, who was out with our team this week, delivering compassionate, life-changing care where it's needed most. And a big thank you to Lloyd DeGrane — one of our dedicated regular volunteers and an amazing professional photographer — for capturing these powerful moments and helping us share this important work with the world. 📷 #tnm50 #thenightministry50 #thenightministry #healthcare #freeandcharitableclinics

A huge thank you to Joyce Chacko, Board Member at The Night Ministry, for inviting us to the Forvis Mazars Open House in their spectacular new space in downtown Chicago! The energy in the room was electric, thanks in no small part to the amazing live Chicago blues and soul sounds of the Street Jaxkson Band. Forvis Mazars is a company that truly leads with purpose. Its employees take tremendous pride in providing days of service and community support across a wide range of causes. We're honored to be one of them. Legacy Thursday: May is Affordable Housing Month — and the need has never been more urgent. Since 1976, The Night Ministry has helped nearly 3,000 clients secure housing, and every day our team works tirelessly to find safe, affordable options for our unhoused neighbors. But the reality is clear: supply is woefully short of the need. Advocacy matters. Policy matters. YOUR voice matters. This month, we're calling on our community to speak up, show up, and push for change. Because everyone deserves a safe place to call home. We are honored to receive a $25,000 gift as a first-time recipient of ORIX USA's philanthropic giving program! 🙏 Recently, they announced a total of $1.9 million in philanthropic donations, including corporate social responsibility giving, employee matching gifts, and holiday donations to various organizations in their communities. Their giving priorities—assisting and empowering communities, affordable housing and homelessness, and sustainability—align perfectly with the work we do every day at The Night Ministry. Support like this enhances our ability to provide human connection, housing, and healthcare to our unhoused neighbors in Chicago. Thank you, ORIX USA and its subsidiaries, Boston Financial, Lument, and NXT Capital, for investing in this vital work and in the people who need it most. 💙 #tnm50 #orixcorp ORIX Corporation USA Boston Financial Lument NXT Capital https://lnkd.in/gWs-PHJR" height="542" width="504" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" title="Embedded post">

This May, we're thinking about what it really means to have a place to call home. 🏠 For so many of our neighbors in Chicago, that first step toward stable housing feels impossibly out of reach — not because of a lack of determination, but because of a lack of options. At The Night Ministry, we walk alongside people every day who are working hard to improve their lives, and we know that affordable housing is the foundation everything else is built on. During Affordable Housing Month, join us in advocating for more housing solutions for people across Chicago and the country. Every voice matters. 🔗 Learn more about our housing work at www.thenightministry.org #AffordableHousingMonth #TheNightMinistry #Chicago #tnm50 #HomelessnessPrevention

Legacy Thursday: With the NBA Draft just around the corner, the spotlight is turning on the next generation of talent. It’s a reminder that legacy isn’t just built on what happens on the court; it’s shaped by what you choose to do off of it. Thirty-two years ago, in February 1994, Michael Jordan was in one of the most unexpected chapters of his career—stepping away from basketball to pursue baseball with the Chicago White Sox. But on the night of his 31st birthday, his focus wasn’t on sports or headlines. Instead, it was on impact. As Tom Berhen, former President & CEO of The Night Ministry, shared: “Michael Jordan can bring attention to anything. The fact that he wanted to bring attention to children speaks to his own values of the importance of family.” Jordan hosted his birthday celebration at his restaurant, bringing together celebrities and Chicago’s civic and social leaders. He chose The Night Ministry as the beneficiary, supporting children experiencing housing insecurity through the Easter season. As the next class of NBA players prepares to hear their names called, it’s a powerful reminder: legacy is built not just in arenas, but in the difference you choose to make. #LegacyThursday #NBADraft #MichaelJordan #Chicago #Leadership #SocialImpact #Community #Nonprofit #PurposeDriven #TheNightMinistry #tnm50 #nbadraft2026
