Recognizing The Bonner/Geelen Family ⭐ We Raise Hope Foster Parent Conference Award Recipients! Originally licensed as kinship caregivers for a placement that fell through, they felt called to continue their journey. Instead of stepping back, they leaned in. They applied everything they learned to continue fostering and opening their home to youth, always prioritizing connection, healing, and family. They believe children deserve to experience childhood, free from adult conflict, and they work intentionally to build strong relationships with primary families. Their journey reflects the heart of foster care: reunification, compassion, and a deep commitment to what is best for each child. Show some love for the Bonner/Geelen family! #NationalFosterCareMonth #FosterFamily #EveryChildMatters # FosterLove

About us
The Buckeye Ranch is a private, nonprofit organization with a comprehensive array of mental health treatment options for children, young adults, and families. The Buckeye Ranch is committed to providing high-quality care utilizing the most up-to-date, scientific knowledge to address the challenges faced by the children, young adults, and families we serve. We actively seek the most current research-based treatment approaches in our relentless commitment to providing the best possible care to children, young adults, and families. The Buckeye Ranch also takes a strengths-based approach with every child, young adult, and family. We believe that these strengths can be accessed to help families reach their full potential because families are fundamental in the lives of children and, therefore, central to the treatment we provide. Our families are struggling to overcome serious issues including abuse, neglect, mental illness, suicidal tendencies, addictions, and other life debilitating concerns. Because of this, The Buckeye Ranch is much more than a place. It’s a comprehensive network of skilled professionals, working as a team to provide children and their families with the treatment, guidance and support they need to raise hope and move on to a better place. The Buckeye Ranch is currently serving more than 2,500 children and families from Franklin and other counties every day, at six (6) different locations throughout Ohio. -

This Mental Health Month, we are embracing the theme "Better Days Together" — a powerfulf reminder that meaningful relationships, shared moments, and simple check‑ins can make a real difference in how we feel. Research consistently shows that social connection supports emotional well‑being, reduces feelings of isolation, and helps us cope during stressful times. Even small moments of connection can add up. 💚 Your challenge this week: Get 5 doses of social connection — one each day — and notice how it impacts your mental health. Here are 5 simple ways to connect: ☎️ Call or text someone you have been meaning to check in on ☕ Meet a friend, coworker, or neighbor for coffee or a walk 💬 Share how you are really doing with someone you trust 🤝 Join a group, volunteer opportunity, or community event ✨ Practice presence by listening fully during a conversation Connection does not have to be big or complicated to be powerful. If you want, tell us in the comments: Which connection are you starting with? Because better days are built together. #MentalHealthMonth #BetterDaysTogether #MentalHealthMatters #CommunityCare #ConnectionCounts #TheBuckeyeRanch

No one should experience mental health challenges alone. Sadly, many of our youth are struggling in silence. According to data collected by the @CDC, more than 40% of adolescents reported persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness in the past year. Whether you are a family member, caregiver, teacher, neighbor, or friend, your presence can make a difference for a youth who is struggling. Just letting them know they are not alone can have a profound impact. We have a responsibility to one another to help care for our community, and strengthen access to supports and services for all. Together, we create more good days by choosing empathy, respect, and connection. Today, we encourage you to check-in with someone you care about and ask, 'How are you really doing?' #MentalHealthAwarenesMonth
