Veterans, whether recently transitioned to civilian life or having been out of the military for years, face unique challenges in terms of mental health support and services. On the blog, our marketing and communications team member, Faith Schanck shares the significant impact the “Don’t Wait. Reach Out.” campaign – part of Ad Council’s larger Mental Health Initiative – is having in raising awareness of veteran suicide prevention and the importance of mental health support for veterans. https://lnkd.in/g_HA9jvG

On average, 2 children die of pediatric vehicular heatstroke each week during the summer. These tragedies are preventable, and as temperatures rise it's important for parents and caregivers to be aware of the risks that a hot car can pose to children. Tomorrow, May 1st, is National Heatstroke Prevention Day and we’re partnering with National Highway Traffic Safety Administration NHTSA to remind audiences to “Stop. Look. Lock.” so children aren’t forgotten or left behind in nor gain access to an unattended vehicle. For more information on preventing child hot car deaths, visit NHTSA.gov/Heatstroke. 🎨 by Nicole Pajor Moore
