🚀 SDA TAP Lab update 🪐 As many of you know, the SDA TAP Lab has been under a strategic pause while our leadership team determines the best path forward to support our government programs -- as well as our industry and academic partners. Currently, this pause is still ongoing. Our leadership team is meeting regularly with stakeholders to create a new process. We're working hard to ensure that the SDA TAP Lab works well for all who make this program a success.
About us
The Space Domain Awareness TAP Lab ensures space superiority missions succeed by rapidly onboarding apps to close gaps. We decompose kill chains, prioritize needs with operators, map needs to technologies, and onboard technology to existing platforms -- getting solutions into operations quickly. We need to partner with industry, academia, and across the government to succeed.

Today we have released a series of opportunities and SST/SDA problem statements to industry and academia. Initially these are short 3 month projects, but depending on the outcome and interest, we have left the door open for further competitions: https://lnkd.in/eJij7fA2

We're honoured to have been part of the U.S. Space Command ACE activity and demonstrate our capability to General Stephen Whiting, #USSPACECOM commander and other senior leaders for DV Day. There's nothing quite like seeing our unique Passive Radar space surveillance capabilities integrated with an impressive ensemble of other sensors in the name of Space Domain Awareness 🚀. Our sincere thanks to U.S. Space Command and the United States Marine Corps MARFROSPACE for inviting us and for their ongoing support. #spacedomainawareness #passiveradar Simon Palumbo

#Tech Update: On Nov 20, Stottler Henke Associates with PatchPlus Consulting, Inc. made an open-source-based prediction that the Nov 21 launch out of Xichang (XSC) on a Long March 3B was likely a TJS mission into HEO. After launch, China announced the payload as TJS-21 — their hypothesis turned out to be correct. Their capability, called SHERLOC, is being matured in the Lab and with sponsorship from Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate under Carolyn Sheaff. What powered it? publicly available information and automated pattern-matching. This is exactly the kind of “manual today → scalable tomorrow” pathway we want to amplify. #innovation #space

#Excited about Apollo Accelerator Cohort 8 Demo Day tomorrow. The SDA TAP Lab has created an ecosystem that fosters international partnerships and collaboration between industry, academia and government. The alignment of the Lab under System Delta 85 (SYD85) creates opportunities to transition prototypes tested via the Lab into programs like Kronos. Check out this Commercial Solutions Opening: https://lnkd.in/g3eQeaMy Thanks to the excellent Innovation Hub for making this possible! https://lnkd.in/gHQRcxHu

#Tech Update: the South Korean company SPACEMAP is predicting space-to-ground RF jamming. There are questions about an adversary who may be interfering with friendly satellite downlinks. Predicting and caracterizating these events is an important element of battle space awareness. Douglas Deok-Soo Kim | Peter RYU
