In Wigtown, Scotland—the country's official National Book Town—you can rent an Airbnb above an independent bookstore and actually run the shop while you stay there. Greet customers. Recommend titles. Live above shelves of books. Books are a full tourist destination now. People are booking international flights for this. We think about this a lot... the way a book just travels. Scribe authors find their books in airport terminals, random guesthouses, passed between strangers. You write it, you release it, and then it goes wherever it goes. A cozy shop in the Scottish Highlands isn't a bad place to end up. https://lnkd.in/gHrJYpdp

About us
Scribe helps busy professionals write the books they've been thinking, talking, and dreaming about for years—without them needing to type a single word. We're obsessed with Unlocking the World's Wisdom. No, really, that's our mission statement. And it applies to everything we do. We believe everyone has a story to tell. The only thing more important to us than those stories are the People telling them. Scribe bridges the gap between who they are right now and the Author they want to be. That may sound complicated, but it's actually very simple. Our Authors have already done the hard work. They've spent their lives learning and adapting—gaining priceless wisdom and expertise. They want to share this one-of-a-kind knowledge. So, we hone that experience. We provide the platform, the soapbox, and the microphone for their story. Literally. But, it doesn't stop there. We're not just a book writing or publishing company. We're a People company. We don't just tell stories. We connect those stories with the people who need them most. Our Authors can't sit in the room one-on-one with every person they want to reach, but their book can. So we create and execute a plan to do just that—get an Author's book in the perfect reader's hands (and ears). And we're not concerned with immediate returns—though our Authors see their fair share. It's about being part of an ecosystem that evolves with and sustains Authors. Putting a book in the hands of the perfect reader isn't the end goal. It's just the beginning. The dream, the reason we do this, the reason Scribe exists, is the cumulative effect of Unlocking the World's Wisdom. It's sharing those experiences, and that expertise, with the people who need it most. It's about helping people, one book at a time.

Most people are waiting for motivation to show up before they take action. Dr. Richard Harris says that's exactly backwards. In his Author Hour conversation with Eric Jorgenson, Dr. Harris shares an insight that applies to every meaningful goal—writing a book, building a company, or stepping into a new chapter of your leadership: "Our brains are wired to act first, and then the motivation comes." Every author we've had the privilege of working with at Scribe has lived this truth. No one felt completely ready before they started. They made a conscious decision, set a date, and sat down to write. From that first session, momentum built and only then did something transformational happen. The wisdom you carry is too important to wait on the right feeling. If you've been thinking about writing your book, the Author Hour podcast is full of proof that it's possible, and that the process itself changes you. 🎧 Listen to the full episode with Dr. Richard Harris “There'll Never Be a Right Time: Dr. Richard Harris on White Coat, Heavy Soul” #ScribeMedia #AuthorHour #Leadership #Entrepreneurship #WriteYourBook #TakeAction #ThoughtLeadership #BookWriting #GrowthMindset

We're thrilled to announce that The Billionaire of Living by Mike Woodmansee launches on August 4. Here's a question worth sitting with: What if you stopped measuring success by your bank account and started measuring it by the life you're actually living? That's the philosophy behind this remarkable book. Mike Woodmansee is an accountant by trade who decided early on that financial wealth wasn't his ultimate goal. Instead, he built a list of Life Goals—ambitious, meaningful, and entirely his own—and spent the next 50 years pursuing them with extraordinary discipline and intention. The result? A life that most people, regardless of their net worth, would envy. The Billionaire of Living is a powerful reminder that the most rewarding lives aren't built on balance sheets. They're built on purpose, experience, and the courage to go after what actually matters to you. It's available August 4. We can't wait for you to read it.

"I thought I was writing a book about gut health." That's how a lot of Scribe Authors begin their story. They sit down with a clear goal. They share what they know, help the people they serve, get the message out of their head and onto the page. And then the unexpected outcomes start showing up. For Dr. Laura M. Brown, ND, writing Beyond Digestion: How GUT Health Connects to Your Mind, Body, and Soul did everything she hoped it would. It became a #1 Amazon bestseller and reached readers far beyond her clinic. But it also did things she didn't plan for. New patients. New platforms. New conversations about the mind-body-gut connection she'd been quietly championing for years. On a recent episode of Author Hour, Dr. Laura sits down with Eric Jorgenson and walks through what happened after the book—the surprises, the doors that opened, and the ripple effects that followed. Listen to the full episode "Soul Satisfaction: Dr. Laura Brown Turned a Book on Gut Health Into a Five-Year Compounding Asset" wherever you get podcasts. This is exactly why we do what we do at Scribe Media. Experts like Dr. Laura already carry the wisdom. Our job is to help them shape it into a book... and then watch the unexpected outcomes unfold. Congratulations, Dr. Laura. We are honored to be part of your story. #AuthorHour #ScribeMedia #PublishedAuthor #ThoughtLeadership #FunctionalMedicine #GutHealth #NaturopathicMedicine #BookPublishing #LeadershipThroughWriting

Most personal goal-setting books are written by coaches. This one wasn't. Wolfram Hedrich and Sebastian Voss are operators. They spent years watching the same pattern. At work, every personal goal had a system behind it. At home, every personal goal was running on willpower. So they built the missing layer. Dreams and Deadlines takes Objectives and Key Results — the framework Google and LinkedIn run on — and reverse-engineers it for the part of life it was never designed for: a human one. They call it Personal OKRs (POKR). What POKR replaces: - The vague five-year "vision" that lives in a journal - The New Year's resolutions that don't survive February - The weekly review you keep meaning to start What POKR adds: - A five-year vision tied to quarterly goals - A weekly cadence that takes about an hour - A direct line from "what matters most" to "what's on Tuesday's calendar" - Built-in accountability, so your life gets the same operational rigor your job already does It's not motivational. It's operational. Dreams and Deadlines: Using Personal OKRs to Achieve What Matters Most in Your Life, in Finance, Family, Health, or Career is out May 26.

Amazon just changed the math on author platforms. Quietly, in their 2026 KDP update, they rolled out something that should reshape how every author thinks about their book launch: The algorithm now rewards books that drive external traffic to Amazon. Translation: every reader who lands on your book page from your LinkedIn post, your newsletter, your podcast, your TikTok... Amazon now ranks your book higher because of them. For years, the conventional wisdom said: "Just get into Kindle Unlimited and chase the Amazon algorithm." That advice is now actively wrong. The new advice: build the audience first. Build it on platforms you own. Send them to Amazon, and watch the algorithm work for you instead of around you. The authors who win in 2026 are the ones who already understood this: A book is the asset. Your platform is the engine. Amazon is the storefront, not the strategy. If you've been told to wait until you have a book to start building a platform, flip it. The platform comes first. The book turns it into something durable. #KDP #SelfPublishing #AuthorPlatform #PublishingStrategy #ThoughtLeadership #ScribeMedia #AuthorMarketing

Books are legacy. We spend a lot of energy optimizing the noisy stuff—the posts, the threads, the videos that get a week of attention and quietly disappear. But the most durable platform any of us has access to is still the same one it's been for centuries: a book. In this clip from the Author Hour Podcast, Eric Jorgenson sits down with three time author Michael Erath to talk about something we don't say enough: your book is one of the few things you'll make in your career that has a real shot at outliving you. The stories your kids will tell about who you were. The lessons your team will quote a decade after you've moved on. The moment a stranger is impacted by your words on exactly the day they needed it. That's legacy. And it doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decides their ideas are worth more than a feed can hold. If you've been carrying a book around in your head, this is your sign to get it out of there. Scribe Media is built to help you do exactly that → https://lnkd.in/g-Z6ew46 #BooksAreLegacy #WriteYourBook #Leadership #Storytelling #ThoughtLeadership #ScribeMedia #AuthorHour #PersonalBrand #Legacy #NonfictionWriting Next Level Growth

Today is launch day for Do Your Thing: Lessons from Banking's Biggest Digital Transformation by Ralph Hamers, a book every leader navigating change should have on their shelf. When Ralph stepped into the CEO role at ING in 2013, he inherited an institution at a crossroads. What followed became one of the most studied digital transformations in financial services: a reinvention grounded in purpose, customer focus, and innovation, not just technology for technology's sake. In Do Your Thing, Ralph distills what he learned leading transformational change at ING (and later UBS) into a practical playbook for today's CEOs and senior leaders: → How to assess long-term industry shifts (including AI) without losing focus on the present → Why true transformation requires CEO-level ownership and unwavering consistency → How to align purpose, strategy, culture, leadership, brand, and innovation as one system → What it actually looks like to reinvent a legacy organization from the inside out When institutions reinvent themselves, the hardest work happens behind closed doors. This book opens them. Available now: https://lnkd.in/gBejW8SQ Congratulations, Ralph Hamers! This is a meaningful contribution to the conversation about leadership in the AI era.
