March was a big month at ScormStack. We shipped a strong batch of improvements, all moving in the same direction: give authors more control, reduce workarounds, and make day-to-day course production smoother. Here’s the recap 🧠 Adaptive learning We launched variants and checkpoints to support real adaptive learning flows. Concretely, you can now: - Create multiple paths inside the same course - Unlock a path based on a quiz score or a specific answer Useful for remediation, advanced, or expert paths, without turning authoring into a branching nightmare. ✅ New completion logic We added more granular completion modes across many interactive blocks, as well as video and audio. A block can now be marked complete when it is: - Viewed - Started - Fully completed It sounds like a detail… until “displayed” and “actually consumed” stop meaning the same thing. ⏱ New Time Requirements block We also added a block that lets you require a minimum time before content is considered complete. Especially useful for compliance and regulated training use cases. ⚡ Real-time updates Changes made in one session now appear in others in real time: blocks, slides, courses, themes… No more manual refresh in many cases. 🎬 Video thumbnails Videos now support proper thumbnails. You can capture a frame from the video, pick a specific timestamp, or upload a custom thumbnail. 🎨 Theme and Course Custom CSS We added Custom CSS at both theme and course level, with CSS applied in the editor, preview, and export. 💬 Tooltips Authors can now add tooltips directly on selected words or phrases inside content. 📝 Reviews and collaboration Reviews now have a dedicated workspace with search, filters, list view, Kanban view, and saved shortcuts. 📦 Publishing and delivery We also improved publishing with: - Updating an existing published link without changing the learner-facing URL - Publishing webhooks for LMS automation - A floating scroll-to-top button in SCORM exports 🗂 Course management and workspace We added: - A real course status workflow - A data-table view for courses - Pinned folders and shortcuts - A broader workspace UI refresh In short: March was about making ScormStack stronger in 3 areas: - Adaptive learning - Tracking and completion precision - Production ergonomics The kind of improvements you don’t always notice in a flashy demo, but you feel immediately when you are actually building courses. 👉 scormstack.io

New feature: Time Requirement block ⏱️ We’ve added a new Time Requirement block to ScormStack. It can be placed anywhere in a course, including multiple times, to enforce a minimum time spent on a page before the learner can continue. This is especially useful for compliance training, where organizations need to prevent learners from simply scrolling through content and finishing too quickly. Instead of relying on workarounds like forced video/audio playback, authors can now use a simple built-in solution. Why we built it ? A user evaluating ScormStack told us this was one of the major gaps in other authoring tools for compliance learning. They were right. So we shipped it in 3 days. Practical feature. Real use case. No hacks. 👉 scormstack.io

Someone just did exactly what we love to see 💙 💙 💙 They didn’t "test an authoring tool". They built a real learning experience. ✅ A tight scope (no “I’ll cover all cognitive biases” fantasy) ✅ A practical framework: pause → evaluate → decide ✅ Polished production workflow (video, voice, visuals) This is what “portfolio-ready” looks like. Go check Foteini Sofouri's process + final sample 👇 https://lnkd.in/eNHKr8_j And if you’re experimenting too: drop your demo. We’ll reshare the best ones.
Last week, I explored Scormstack to create a scroll-based small course. I was overly optimistic at first with the topic (cognitive biases that affect decision-making), but I narrowed the scope early on to focus on how to trend-proof business decisions. I’ve been thinking about how trends influence decision-making and how decision-makers can pause, evaluate, and decide more strategically, so I used this thought for inspiration. I mostly wanted to try out the tool, but the topic definitely helped with motivation. It was fun creating it! You can see the process and the final result in the link in the comments. Anyone else experimenting with new tools or refreshing their portfolio? #elearning #scorm #learningdesign

Here are 6 power-user tips that will dramatically speed up your course building in Scormstack !! 1️⃣ Double-click a block to edit instantly Stop hunting through menus. Double-click any block in the sidebar or the main editor to instantly open its content and settings panel. Works everywhere, saves clicks every time. 2️⃣ Copy & paste blocks across slides (and courses) Select any block and press Cmd/Ctrl+C to copy it. Navigate to another slide, or even a different course, and press Cmd/Ctrl+V to paste. You can also right-click and use the actions menu. Your clipboard works across tabs and sessions. 3️⃣ Drag to reorder blocks In the sidebar's block view, simply drag blocks up or down to reorder them within a slide. Want to move a block to a different slide? Drag it there. Visual drop indicators show exactly where it'll land. 4️⃣ Multi-select for bulk operations Hold Cmd/Ctrl or Shift to select multiple blocks at once. Then: - Bulk edit them (apply styles, change format or adjust number of attempts) - Bulk delete them (with undo support if you make a mistake) - Bulk copy/paste to duplicate them anywhere 5️⃣ Search & Replace Press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) to open the search panel. Find text in slide titles, block content. Need to fix a typo or update terminology everywhere? Use Replace All to update every occurrence in seconds. 6️⃣ Import SCORM Already have courses built elsewhere? Import them directly into ScormStack. We fully support Articulate Rise packages, and EasyGenerator import is coming soon. Just upload your SCORM zip file and start editing right away, no need to rebuild from scratch. 👉 scormstack.io

"Search & Replace" in an authoring tool. Finally. Yes, the most basic feature on earth. And yet… when you need to update a course, it’s always the same movie: you kind of remember where the text is you scroll you open 12 slides you miss one block you only realize it… after exporting SCORM 🤡 So we just shipped Search + Search & Replace in ScormStack. What it does (for real): ✅ Type a word or phrase ✅ ScormStack lists every matching block (not “slides” — blocks) ✅ Click → jump to the slide + scroll to the exact block ✅ Replace or Replace all in seconds It’s a ridiculous time saver for Instructional Designers who iterate on content daily. 👉 https://scormstack.io

Instructional designer ? Save time and 10x your productivity with ScormStack! 👉 scormstack.io
