Serving two distinct terms on the Labor and Employment Law Section’s Board – separated by over 20 years – allowed me to serve the section’s 900+ members and to build close professional relationships with attorneys representing management, unions and individuals alike.” 💁What does your volunteer service look like? “I am an original (and continuing) author of "Wisconsin Employment Law," now in its 9th edition. We wrote that three-volume treatise from scratch, starting back in 1992. I am still updating it annually, 34 years later.” 👀Why is it important to volunteer? “I strongly encourage attorneys to serve on non-profit boards and in community organizations. As lawyers, we bring specialized skills that can help those organizations deal with challenges strategically and head on. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services finalized changes to the Medicare Part D creditable coverage requirements, creating exemptions for HRAs, ICHRAs and other account-based plans and revising the simplified determination method for 2027.
