Radical Ventures co-led the Seed Round in Inherent, a new AI lab that uses recursively self-improving systems in pursuit of its mission to discover new knowledge. Recursive self-improvement — using AI to build better AI — is increasingly seen as the path to the next era of intelligence. However, most labs are pursuing RSI within workflows designed for a different era. Realizing the full potential of recursion requires reinventing the research process from the ground up. Inherent is built differently. Its agents operate not only as researchers but across the organization itself, from sourcing papers, to managing compute, to autonomously implementing ideas surfaced in meetings — closing a loop in which better systems beget better systems. Every member of the team operates within this system, constantly trialing new workflows and techniques, so that as the models improve, every aspect of the business improves with them. Few people in the world have spent more time on this problem than the team behind Inherent: Tantum Collins, Edward Hughes, Louis Kirsch and Kaloyan Aleksiev. We are thrilled to partner with them as they pursue the promise of RSI. https://inherentlabs.ai/

Yesterday a select group of early-stage AI founders from our Masterclass Community showcased the products they've built over the past six months. The Radical Compute Cohort, designed in partnership with Google Cloud, gives researchers and scientists access to significant compute resources, mentorship, and institutional support to build AI technologies. The technical depth and ambition on display this week was exceptional. Thank you to our partners at Google Cloud for making this program possible, and congratulations to every founder who took the demo stage yesterday. We can't wait to see where you go from here. For those of you interested in participating in this program next year, indicate your interest in the link below.

Radical Ventures is proud to lead the $300M Series C in Decart. Decart is building the foundational layer that makes the entire category of real-time AI-generated video possible at scale. Their software platform combines proprietary chip optimization, state-of-the-art world models, and a self-serve API — bridging the gap between research and production faster than anyone thought possible. By optimizing at the chip level, Decart has unlocked its advanced real-time video world models which deliver world-leading performance: Decart’s ‘Lucy’ model is powering immersive experiences for gaming and e-commerce, while ‘Oasis’ is the first world model designed for Physical AI and robotics. We are proud to partner with an extraordinary technical team led by founders Dean Leitersdorf, Moshe Shalev, and Orian Leitersdorf. Radical led the investment alongside our frequent co-investor NVIDIA, and returning investors Sequoia Capital, Benchmark, and strategic partners like Amazon. Decart isn’t just building better models; they are building the foundational layer that makes the next generation of low-latency, interactive AI economically viable at a global scale.
Excited to share that we’ve raised $300M in our Series B round, led by Radical Ventures and Jordan Jacobs, bringing our total funding to more than $450M, with leading technology companies joining as both customers and investors. We continue accelerating the path to AGI through our two core pillars: ultra-optimized infrastructure for AI workloads, and realtime world models built on top of it. Today, we’re also launching DOS 2.0 – our next-generation inference and training platform, delivering over 1,600 tokens per second for agentic inference and over 100 FPS for world models across major hardware platforms. Alongside DOS, we will launch new versions of our world models in the coming weeks: Lucy, for immersive realtime experiences, and Oasis, for physical AI. Grateful to our partners, customers, and backers across media & entertainment, Physical AI, chips, hyperscalers, and the broader AI ecosystem. Radical Ventures, Adobe, Alpha Partners, Amazon and Amazon Web Services (AWS), Atreides Management, LP, Benchmark, eBay Ventures, NVIDIA, Sequoia Capital, Toyota Ventures, Valley Capital Partners, Valor Equity Partners, Zeev Ventures; and Andrej Karpathy, Michael Eisner, Yamauchi-No.10 Family Office, Moritz Baier-Lentz and more. We made a film for this moment with Decart CEO Dean Leitersdorf and Moritz Baier-Lentz - a look at the company, the technology, and what comes next.

Thrilled to lead a $300M fundraising round in Decart, and partner with this extraordinary team led by founders Dean Leitersdorf, Moshe Shalev and Orian Leitersdorf. Others investors in the round include our frequent co-investor NVIDIA. I will join the board alongside the founders, Sequoia Capital and Benchmark. Decart makes the world’s most advanced real-time video world models + a proprietary chip optimization stack that enables inference in real-time at low cost. This combination of SOTA technologies is unlocking new applications with global customers like Amazon. Below is a short introductory video about Decart by Dean, the CEO. At Radical we’ve met with over 10,000 AI companies and countless AI ecosystem participants. We’ve invested in 73 of them. Decart is among the most extraordinary technical teams we’ve ever seen. I’m thrilled to partner and have them join our family of incredible Radical portfolio founders and teams. The Wall Street Journal feature: https://lnkd.in/eTmbF5kv
