Qumulo is the simple way to manage exabyte-scale data anywhere — edge, core, or cloud — on the platform of your choice.

About us

Modern enterprises have to manage exponentially-growing exabyte-scale data stores comprised mostly of unstructured data. Someone (often IT) has the difficult job of staying on top of managing these data stores, which becomes more difficult to do as enterprise datasets expand from the data center to the edge and cloud. And while scale and complexity are rising, budgets and staff are not. Existing solutions suffer from two crucial shortcomings: Complexity and platform lock-in. Legacy solutions are excruciatingly complex to deploy and manage. And nearly every solution restricts users to running in only the data center and on expensive, inflexible proprietary hardware platforms. Qumulo is the simple way to manage exabyte-scale data anywhere — edge, core, or cloud — on the platform of your choice. In a world with trillions of files and objects comprising 100+ zettabytes worldwide, companies need a solution that combines the ability to work anywhere with simplicity. This is precisely what Qumulo was founded to accomplish.

Cisco's Rohit Mittal wrote about how Cisco UCS and Qumulo work together to power modern data workloads and what they validated in a real-world deployment. Dive in if you're thinking about how to consolidate file and object storage, scale without re-architecting, or give distributed teams consistent access to data across data centers, edge, and cloud. Read it here ➡️ https://bit.ly/3PLUnIA And if you're heading to #CiscoLive in Las Vegas, come find us. We'd love to continue the conversation in person!

We're looking forward to being with the community at #AWSSummit Toronto! 🍁 Qumulo runs natively on Amazon Web Services (AWS), bringing the same file data performance and scale teams rely on for AI, HPC, and archiving workloads on-premises — to the cloud. If you're curious how that works in practice, come find us. Ala Sajed, Pascal Filion, Steven Gliosca, Filipe Pereira, and Matthew Herson, MBA will all be there and would love to chat. See you there! P.S. We're hosting an invite-only Executive Dinner at Harbour Sixty. This will be a private dinner for IT leaders, cloud architects, and data innovators to connect away from the summit floor. June 3, 6:30–9:00 PM. RSVP to secure your seat: https://bit.ly/4tZLObn

🆕 We're excited to announce Qumulo NeuralProtect: real-time ransomware protection built directly into the storage layer. Traditional security tools focus on endpoints or backups. NeuralProtect protects your live production data, inspecting files as they're written and catching both known variants and zero-day attacks before they can encrypt or corrupt what matters most. This launch also marks a deeper chapter in our partnership with Cisco. Integrated with Cisco Hypershield and Splunk, NeuralProtect delivers coordinated cyber resilience spanning storage, network, and security operations, bringing together storage intelligence and network enforcement in a way neither of us could deliver alone. This is the third announcement in our biggest launch week yet with Cisco. Earlier this week we introduced Cloud AI Accelerator, which lets enterprises run AI workloads wherever GPUs are available without replicating data, and CNQ Enterprise, our hybrid cloud platform that bridges on-premises infrastructure to the cloud without disruption. Today's launch completes the picture: AI-ready, cloud-connected, and now fully protected. Read the full announcement ➡️ https://bwnews.pr/4nWHI2g We'll be at #CiscoLive in Las Vegas starting May 31. Come find us and see what we're building together.

If you're heading to #AWSSummit Los Angeles, we look forward to talking to you there! 🌴 Come find us to talk about what it takes to move enterprise-scale file and object data in and out of the cloud without the bottlenecks. We're always up for a good storage conversation. 😁 We're also hosting a private dinner the evening before for IT leaders, cloud architects, and data innovators attending the summit. Request your invite and join us for great food and conversation at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse: https://bit.ly/4dLbiTS Matthew Herson, MBA Matt Anderson Chris Horn Shawn Wallbridge Natalie Jagoda Amazon Web Services (AWS)

🌉 Exciting news! We've launched Qumulo CNQ Enterprise with Cisco UCS: a hybrid cloud platform that lets enterprises extend file workloads to the cloud without disrupting the workflows that depend on them. When hardware costs rise and procurement cycles stretch, organizations shouldn't have to choose between staying stuck and starting over. CNQ Enterprise bridges that gap, combining Cloud Native Qumulo and unlimited Cloud Data Fabric into a single platform available across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI, while Cisco UCS provides the trusted on-premises foundation that keeps everything running. Users stay productive. Data stays accessible. And your team controls the pace of modernization. This is the second announcement this week in our deepening partnership with Cisco, building on yesterday's Cloud AI Accelerator launch to deliver a complete hybrid cloud platform that's both AI-ready and built to last. Read the full announcement ➡️ https://bwnews.pr/3S3ESMS We'll be at #CiscoLive in Las Vegas starting May 31. Come find us and see what we're building together.

If you're going to #CiscoLive, we invite you to come hear Brandon Whitelaw, SVP of Product at Qumulo, as he takes the stage for a session on one of the most pressing challenges in enterprise AI: keeping autonomous agents grounded in accurate, real-time data. As AI shifts from model training to agentic reasoning, eventually consistent replicas at the edge aren't good enough anymore. Brandon will walk through how Qumulo's Cloud Data Fabric pairs with Cisco Unified Edge to deliver a strictly consistent global namespace from core to edge, so your AI agents are acting on live data. 📅 Wednesday, June 3 | 12:00PM – 12:20PM 📍 WoS Solutions Village 2 See you there! https://bit.ly/3P9HM1E

Once a month, the whole Qumulo team gets in the same room to connect, align, and catch up on what's happening across the company. This month's All Hands came with a bonus: a taco bar! 🌮 Shoutout to our incredible Qumulons. We love building with you!

🆕 🚀 We're excited to announce Qumulo Cloud AI Accelerator: a faster way for enterprises to run AI workloads wherever GPU capacity is available, without copying massive datasets to get there. GPU scarcity is only half the problem. The other half is data gravity. When GPUs finally become available in a new region or zone, the data is never where they are. Teams end up paying for idle compute while hundreds of terabytes move into position — or maintaining expensive replicated copies across every location just in case. Either way, the meter runs before any real work begins. Qumulo Cloud AI Accelerator eliminates that tax. Combined with Cloud Data Fabric and NeuralCache, it presents any enterprise dataset in real time to any GPU farm, in any cloud, without replication or pre-staging. GPU hunting becomes a scheduling decision, not a logistics problem. And with Cisco UCS and networking providing the enterprise infrastructure foundation, the full stack is built for the scale and reliability AI workloads demand. A single cryo-EM session can generate terabytes of raw data. Moving, storing, and processing that data fast enough to keep pace with discovery is where workflows often stall. This demo shows how Qumulo's Cloud Data Fabric tackles exactly that by enabling researchers to ingest and process cryo-EM datasets in the cloud without the staging delays or storage constraints that slow structural, important work down. If your team runs high-throughput cryo-EM pipelines, this one's for you. 👇

Distributed production is just how media and entertainment works now. 📍 Studios, post houses, VFX teams, and more teams are spread across cities and continents trying to accomplish great work on the same projects. For years, the answer to keeping everyone in sync has been replication, remote desktops, and a lot of patience. Arvydas Gazarian put a different approach to the test: two workstations, London and Stockholm, 4K media playing back in real time across regions with zero pre-staged data. He breaks down what made it work and what it means for studios still cobbling together workarounds to get distributed teams moving: https://bit.ly/4eJgcTw
