Stop losing GPU efficiency to data movement and infrastructure silos. When scaling distributed AI, fragmented data is the primary barrier to performance. VAST Data and SkyPilot provide a high-impact alternative: ✅ Zero-Staging Architecture - Access petabytes of data instantly across hybrid-cloud boundaries without manual replication. ✅ 100% GPU Utilization- Maintain maximum compute efficiency with the VAST DASE architecture serving SkyPilot-managed nodes at NVMe speeds. ✅ TCO Optimization - Combine SkyPilot’s cost-based routing with VAST’s industry-leading data reduction to reclaim your data center budget. Architectural efficiency is the new supply. By eliminating the constraints of data gravity, VAST and SkyPilot enable the industrialization of the AI pipeline. Ten years ago, VAST Data set out to build a thinking machine. The journey from a revolutionary storage architecture to a comprehensive AI Operating System is a decade in the making. In this keynote, VAST CEO and Founder Renen Hallak outlines the roadmap for an infrastructure that doesn't just store data but powers the next generation of human-like agents and autonomous services. Discover how integrating block, file, object, streaming, tabular, and vector data into a single, event-driven runtime is creating a future of limitless abundance. For a decade, the industry focused on the model. But as Nicole Hemsoth Prickett observes in her #NVIDIAGTC recap, the focal point has shifted. From the orchestration monster to the KV cache bottleneck, the dominant problems in AI are no longer about raw compute—they are about the system architecture. While others are just now discovering that AI requires a continuous, stateful, and coordinated system, VAST is already delivering the operating layer designed to handle these exact requirements at scale. Old infrastructure does not apply to where VAST is going. For the last decade, VAST Data has been on a mission to build systems that engage with the natural world. In his latest keynote, Co-founder Jeff Denworth explains why the scope of this challenge has no parallel and why VAST is positioned as the "innovation engine" sitting between applications, infrastructure, and services. The Roadmap: 🚀 CNode-X: The world's first CUDA-accelerated AI data infrastructure 🚀 Polaris: Unified multi-cloud orchestration and lifecycle management 🚀 The Thinking Machine: Integrating DataEngine, PolicyEngine, and TuningEngine for autonomous AI agents Watch the full keynote to see the next chapter of the AI OS: https://lnkd.in/gmdvyrvg

One of the more fulfilling aspects of being an industry analyst is the access to senior leadership of the companies you follow. I had an opportunity to sit down with Renen Hallak at VAST Data’s first user conference, VAST Forward 2026. VAST is a company on the move. In the video below, I asked Renen about the company’s early design principles and how they have evolved to play a prominent role in today’s AI environments. ➡️ He described scale as the original design point. That same requirement now shows up in production AI systems, where performance, resilience, and efficiency all need to hold at much larger levels. ➡️ We also discussed the data plane and control plane, with the latter responsible for coordinating the full system. It spans environments, data types, and execution decisions, with a global view of how everything works in concert. ➡️ Renen noted that data is emerging as a limiting factor, and parts of the current stack are reaching their limits as systems grow more distributed. Here’s the link to the full video on our new HyperFRAME Research channel: https://lnkd.in/etuFMjNW 👍 Don't forget to Like and Subscribe for more great content from our amazing analyst team. Special thanks to Renen and the VAST team for arranging and capturing our conversation. As AI pipelines expand across hybrid and multicloud environments, single-cluster management has become a bottleneck. VAST Polaris introduces a centralized control plane to automate deployment and lifecycle management across your entire global data fabric. One interface. One API. Total operational coherence from on-prem to the public cloud.

AI is no longer episodic. It’s becoming a continuous system. In his recent VAST FWD keynote, VAST Data Co-founder Jeff Denworth outlined why the transition toward continuous AI requires a departure from the historical focus on the model stack. To sustain a continuous loop of intelligence, infrastructure must evolve beyond the fragmented layers that force data to be duplicated and synchronized across boundaries. Discover why the center of gravity in AI is shifting from the models themselves to the AI Operating System that coordinates them in real-time in Nicole Hemsoth Prickett's full breakdown of Jeff's vision 🚀
