It was an honor to host the Permanent #SecretaryOfTheMinistryOfHealth, #Zambia, Ms Simuyi and her distinguished delegation during their recent visit to the United States. This visit marked an important milestone in our growing #partnership to strengthen Zambia’s #health system through the delivery of critical #medical supplies and #equipment. Under a transformative #initiative funded by Islamic Relief USA, Project C.U.R.E. will ship 27 containers—valued at $10 million—of life-saving medical equipment and supplies to Zambia by June 2026. In #Washington, DC, we were proud to convene strategic meetings with leadership from Management Sciences for Health (MSH), KoBold Metals, and Islamic Relief USA. These discussions focused on long-term health systems strengthening, #sustainable implementation, and ensuring that this significant investment translates into measurable impact for communities across Zambia. The delegation also visited our warehouses in #Philadelphia and #Colorado to see firsthand how we #procure, #sort, #quality-check, and prepare #medical supplies for #shipment worldwide. From meticulous inventory management to container loading and international logistics, the visit provided a comprehensive look at our operational processes and our commitment to transparency, stewardship, and excellence. We are deeply grateful to Islamic Relief USA for their visionary investment in Zambia’s healthcare infrastructure, and to the Ministry of Health for their partnership and leadership. Together, we are advancing a shared goal: expanding access to quality healthcare and strengthening systems that will serve communities for years to come. This #collaboration reflects what is possible when government, philanthropy, and nonprofit partners align around impact. #GlobalHealth #HealthSystemsStrengthening #Zambia #Partnership #MedicalRelief #ProjectCURE Sumani Dash, Ayoob Ayoobi, PhD

Delivering Health & Hope to the World
About us
Project C.U.R.E. was founded in 1987 to address the staggering shortage of medical resources around the world. Since our humble beginnings in a garage in Colorado, Project C.U.R.E. has become the world’s largest distributor of donated medical supplies, equipment and services to doctors and nurses serving the sick and dying in more than 130 countries. Each week Project C.U.R.E. delivers approximately three to five semitruck-sized ocean containers packed with the medical equipment and supplies desperately needed to save lives in hospitals and clinics in resource-limited countries. In addition, each year hundreds of healthcare professionals travel with Project C.U.R.E. to provide medical treatment to communities in need and training to those dedicated to serving them. Project C.U.R.E. is supported by over 25,000 volunteers annually and operates distribution warehouses in seven U.S. cities. In addition to our global work, Project C.U.R.E. pivoted in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to support the need for PPE and medical equipment in the U.S. Since March 2020, Project C.U.R.E. provided more than 15 semitruck loads of medical aid, which equates to 4.5+ million pieces and nearly $5 million of PPE for healthcare workers and first responders. Project C.U.R.E. continues on the frontline of the battle against the pandemic by providing millions of dollars of COVID-19 aid on a weekly basis.

As highlighted in recent coverage by KHOU 11, the 266th shipment of life-saving #medical supplies has departed from #Houston bound for healthcare facilities in Ukraine, four years after the war began. This shipment reflects the core of what Project C.U.R.E. does every day: delivering critical medical equipment and supplies to hospitals and clinics facing extraordinary need. From trauma care and surgical tools to essential hospital supplies, these resources help frontline providers care for patients in the most challenging conditions imaginable. We are so grateful for every volunteer, staff member, and partner who has made this work possible. We extend a special thank you to Consul General Vitalii Tarasiuk, the members of the Houston consular corps, leaders from the Ukrainian American community, and Jo Sullivan, LMSW. https://lnkd.in/gGiFrEBQ

Through a recent #ProjectC.U.R.E. Clinic in Honduras, 552 patients received care thanks to a partnership with #HCA HealthONE Rose Medical Center. Among them was a woman who had suffered a severe stroke months earlier and arrived at the clinic after a three-hour journey, lying in the back of a pickup truck, with no access to rehabilitation services or equipment. Her family did not know how to care for her safely. Kirsten, a Rose Medical Center occupational therapist volunteering with our C.U.R.E. Clinic team, met her where she was—assessing her in the truck and empowering her family with practical, sustainable techniques to reduce pain, improve mobility, and support recovery at home. This is what defines Project C.U.R.E. #Clinics: ✔ Skilled clinicians sharing expertise ✔ Collaboration with local partners ✔ Care that continues long after the clinic ends We are grateful to HCA #HealthONE Rose Medical Center for investing in clinicians and partnerships that expand access to quality #healthcare globally. As part of my Project C.U.R.E. Procurement Ambassador role, I had the privilege of visiting Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, Banner Health in Glendale, Arizona, today. The visit was both meaningful and impactful, as Banner Thunderbird continues to stand as a strong and consistent donor partner to Project C.U.R.E. — supporting global health systems through the donation of essential medical supplies and equipment. During my engagement, I had the opportunity to connect with the team, express our deep appreciation for their continued generosity, and share key organizational updates on our ongoing global health impact. Partnerships like these are the backbone of global health equity, transforming surplus into survival, and generosity into access. We warmly invite more hospitals, health systems, clinics, and healthcare partners to join this life-saving mission by becoming donation partners with Project C.U.R.E. Together, we can expand access, strengthen health systems, and deliver hope where it is needed most. As 2026 unfolds, Ukraine’s health system faces its darkest hour, battered by a record number of targeted attacks on energy grids and medical logistics that have turned frontline regions into "medical deserts". Yet, amidst this systemic erasure, a vital lifeline persists: our latest publication, "The Geography of Pain", reveals how agile charities like Support Hospitals in Ukraine, in partnership with Project C.U.R.E., partners in #Ukraine, and backed by our generous funders in the United States and around the works, are defying the blockade, delivering precision surgical and pediatric aid to the "Grey Zones" of #Dnipro and #Zaporizhzhia where the need is most critical. #StandwithUkraine #SupportHospitalsinUkraine Vitaliy Dubil Sergii Sementsov Pasha Fedorenko Joseph Colao Douglas Jackson Laura Conti
