Most solo developers don't have an ad ops problem. They have a time problem. And ad ops is eating it. Every hour spent troubleshooting mediation, watching dashboards, and chasing demand partners is an hour that doesn't go into the product. For a one-person team, that trade-off hits differently. Study Circle's developer put it plainly: by handing ad management to Playwire, he got his time back — and his revenue went up 2.4x in two weeks. That's not a coincidence. That's what fully managed monetization is supposed to do. Less time in dashboards. More time building. And somehow, more money too. Turns out the fastest way to get a room full of ad tech people to stop talking about ad tech is to hand them a paddle. Yesterday we took over City Pickle in Times Square with Admiral for The Playwire Pickleball Open. Publishers, partners, and colleagues, all skill levels, two hours of genuinely competitive pickleball. Thank you to everyone who came out, and to the Admiral team for partnering with us on it. Ad tech doesn't always have to be serious. But it is always competitive. See you at the next one. #AdTech #PublisherRevenue #Monetization

Still opening your dashboard and asking "what's my CPM today?" That's the ad tech equivalent of judging a road trip by your speedometer instead of where you actually ended up. In our 2026 State of Ad Revenue webinar, we made the case for the one metric publishers should watch day to day and month over month: RPS, revenue per session. Here's why it wins: - It kills the noise: CPMs swing on traffic mix, demand, and seasonality - It normalizes the data: every session gets measured on the same footing - It reflects reality: what one visit is actually worth to your business CPM tells you what an impression sold for. RPS tells you what a user is worth. One of those pays your bills. If revenue per session isn't already on your dashboard, that's the upgrade to make. AdSense was a great onramp. It's not a destination. Lifestyle publishers are leaving in waves, and not for the reason most people assume. It's not just CPMs. It's control, transparency, demand diversification, and the slow realization that one buyer per impression is not a strategy. We dug into where they're going next, and what to evaluate before you make the same move. 🔗 https://bit.ly/4djjgnU #AdTech #LifestylePublishers #PublisherRevenue

An unindexed page earns exactly zero. Zero pageviews, zero ad impressions, zero RPS. For publishers managing multiple sites, that math compounds fast. One misconfigured noindex tag, a redirect loop leftover from a migration, or a crawl budget getting eaten by paginated archives — and content you paid to produce sits invisible to Google while your competitors' pages take the rankings. The diagnosis is usually faster than publishers expect: - Google Search Console's Page Indexing report pre-sorts problems by type. You're not guessing — you're working a list. - "Discovered - currently not indexed" and "Crawled - currently not indexed" look identical in search results but require completely different fixes. Confusing them wastes time. - Crawl budget issues are the indexing problem large portfolios miss. Low-value tag pages and parameter-based URL variants consume budget before Googlebot ever reaches your new revenue-generating content. - The URL Inspection tool shows you exactly what Google sees on any page, right now, not from the last cached crawl. Fix priority should follow revenue impact. A high-traffic evergreen page sitting unindexed is a five-alarm problem. A thin tag archive is not. Every hour a high-value page isn't indexed is ad revenue that never materializes.

Sports publishing has a problem that almost no other vertical faces at the same intensity: Violent revenue seasonality. NFL season looks nothing like the offseason. NBA Finals traffic is not NBA regular season traffic. The CPMs available during peak sports moments are dramatically different from what's available in the valleys. Most publishers treat this as a fact of life. The smart ones treat it as a strategy problem. Here's what a seasonality-aware sports monetization strategy looks like: In-season (peak): → Maximize impression volume — traffic is up and CPMs are high → More aggressive floor settings are justified — demand competition is real → Premium formats perform well — users are engaged and invested → Direct deal pipeline should be active — advertisers pay up for peak sports moments Off-season (valley): → Protect floor revenue — don't let floors drift down with traffic → Audience retention becomes the monetization priority → Content strategy matters more — build the audience that comes back in season → Yield efficiency over yield maximization The gap between publishers who do this well and publishers who just ride the waves can be enormous over a full calendar year. 🔗 https://hubs.li/Q04mQ31z0 #SportsPublishers #PublisherRevenue #AdTech #Monetization #SportsBusiness #SeasonalAdvertising

Q1 is not Q3. Q3 is not Q4. And yet most travel publishers run the same ad config year-round and wonder why revenue feels flat. Booking windows shift. Advertiser budgets cycle. Audience intent moves from dreaming to planning to buying. Your floors, layout, and demand mix should move with all of it. Here's how to actually optimize for seasonality instead of pretending it doesn't exist. 🔗 https://bit.ly/4eor4pv #AdTech #TravelPublishers #AdRevenue

Entertainment publishers often have a traffic story they're proud of. The revenue story is sometimes a different picture. Here's why — and it comes down to two variables that matter more than almost anything else in entertainment publishing: Volume and geography. Volume: Entertainment content tends to generate broad, diffuse traffic. Lots of visitors, shorter sessions, lower page depth than gaming or education. That traffic profile means your demand floor — the number of active bidders competing for your inventory — needs to be higher to compensate. Geography: This one is often underestimated. US and Tier 1 international traffic carries dramatically higher advertiser demand than ROW audiences. An entertainment publisher with 60% international traffic running US-optimized floors and CPM targets is leaving money on the table at significant scale. The optimization levers for entertainment publishing: → Demand breadth over demand depth — you need more partners, not just better ones → Geo-segmented floor logic — different floors for different traffic tiers → Ad format mix calibrated to shorter session behavior → Content architecture built to increase page depth despite bounce-prone content patterns Entertainment is a viable high-revenue vertical. But it needs a vertical-specific strategy to get there. Full breakdown below in our comments 👇 #EntertainmentPublishers #PublisherRevenue #AdTech #Monetization #Programmatic #GeographicTargeting

Yield management isn't "setting a floor and walking away." For wellness publishers, it's bid landscape analysis, demand-partner-level optimization, sensitive-category handling, and floor strategy that flexes with seasonality and audience composition. If your current setup involves logging into one dashboard once a quarter, you're leaving money on the table. Here's the full guide to doing it right. 🔗 https://bit.ly/4d2ltD4 #AdTech #YieldManagement #WellnessPublishers

How many hands touch your inventory before it reaches an advertiser? If you don't know the answer, you're not alone. Most publishers don't, because most sales houses aren't exactly rushing to tell you. Our CEO, Jayson Dubin, said it best: transparency is easy to talk about and hard to actually show. So we built our whole operation around showing it. No resellers. No mystery layers between your ad requests and real demand. Your inventory goes out, the revenue comes back, and nobody unknown takes a cut in between. That's not a tagline. It's how the bid stream works when you strip out the middlemen. Your ad tech stack already asks a lot of you. It shouldn't also ask you to take its integrity on faith. Curious how many resellers are sitting between your site and your revenue right now? Worth finding out. #AdTech #Programmatic #Publishers #Transparency #AdOps
