About us

We’re specialists in pre-seed and seed. The startups we back go far. Best-in-class founders do not come around every day. When they do, we jump at the opportunity to work together. Our approach is to work with just a small number of best-in-class founders so we can dig in and go deep.

  • Congrats to Ronak Malde, Michael Elabd, and Arjun Karanam on Trajectory's $15M raise. 🚀 The three met the first week of freshman year at Stanford, joined Pear Garage to build together, and went deep on customer discovery. They conducted hundreds of interviews and designed interfaces to bring frontier technology to users. Trajectory is the culmination of the lessons they learned, combined experience at Apple, Deep Mind, and Windsurf—and a continuation of a friendship that started almost a decade ago. We're so proud to see what Pear Garage alumni go on to accomplish. 🍐

We’ve raised over $1B at a $26B valuation, led by Lux Capital, General Catalyst, and 8VC. We’re grateful that our existing investors have doubled down including Founders Fund, Definition, Omri Casspi, Conversion Capital, Positive Sum, Avenir, Vitruvian Partners, Bain Capital Ventures (BCV), 137 Ventures, Soma Capital, and Alpha Wave Global. And we are excited to welcome new investors including Ribbit Capital, Atreides Management, LP, and Layer Global. We launched Devin two years ago as the first AI software engineer. Since then, cloud agents have gone from niche to mainstream, and today they are the fastest growing way to create software. Our enterprise usage has grown >10x since the start of this year, and our run-rate revenue grew to $492M. We've also started building our model training program. We recently launched SWE-1.6, which has become the most used model in Windsurf, and which customers love for both its cost and speed (up to 950 tok/s). Today, Devin is responsible for 89% of the PRs written at Cognition. Devin has dramatically accelerated our product roadmap, building and shipping new features like Devin Review, Auto-Triage, Managed and Scheduled Devins, Windsurf 2.0, and more. We’ve been working to scale our team to match this moment. Cognition began as a team of 9 engineers working out of a living room, and now stands as a global team of more than 250. In the past few months, we have opened international offices in London, Tokyo and Singapore.  If you’re excited about building the future of software engineering in a world with many more software engineers, join us. And if you haven’t seen the latest in Devin firsthand, try it out now. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eNuuevpc

  • Congrats to the Kin Health team on their $9M seed round. 🚀 Patients forget nearly half of what’s discussed during doctor visits, especially in the moments that matter most. Kin is building the missing layer in healthcare: a free, consumer platform designed around the physician-patient conversation itself, helping patients better understand, remember, and act on their care. Founded by brothers and practicing physicians Arpan Parikh, MD, MBA, FAPA Amit Parikh MD alongside Kyle Alwyn, the team has lived this problem firsthand and is building with deep empathy for both patients and providers. We're honored to be part of this journey.

Almost four years ago, my mother-in-law was diagnosed with breast cancer. We became the quarterbacks of her care, and despite having more than a dozen physicians in the immediate family, it was incredibly challenging to navigate the care journey. If it was so hard for us, I quickly realized that the average American doesn't stand a chance. That’s why I’m so excited to announce Kin Health's $9 million seed round, led by Maveron, with participation by Town Hall Ventures, Flex Capital, Eniac Ventures, The Family Fund & Founder Community, Pear VC, Watershed Ventures, Foundry Square Capital, and individual investors including GoodRx co-founders Trevor Bezdek and doug hirsch, Nabeel Quryshi, Jay Desai, Alex Cohen, Saharsh Patel, MD, and more than 30 physicians. Kin listens to your medical visits and turns them into plain-language summaries you can actually use and share with your loved ones. Over time, it builds a health record of what your doctor actually said to you, putting you in control of your healthcare data, on your terms, for the first time. Thank you to Ivan Mehta for sitting down and talking with us about our journey and vision to transform how every American engages with their healthcare. Today, we are introducing Forus (formerly Tandem) and announcing $160M raised to build the foundation for modern medicine. Science should be the only limit to medicine. Today it isn't. Drug discovery is moving faster, but the system that turns it into real-world treatment isn't. Forus is building the AI-powered network that connects doctors, pharmacies, payers, and biopharma to bring new science to patients. Forus is a generational opportunity to rethink how new medicines reach society. Thousands of medical practices and health systems across all 50 states use Forus today, supporting patients in nearly 80% of U.S. zip codes – all driven by word of mouth. Five of the top 10 global biopharma companies are already working with us. We are working to unlock an order of magnitude more medicine for society. Our team is about 100 engineers and operators in New York, and we're looking for high-horsepower, high-throughput people whose ambition matches that goal. Backed by Thrive Capital, General Catalyst, Accel, Bain Capital Ventures (BCV), Redpoint, BoxGroup, and Pear VC. Join us: forus.com/company Read more: https://lnkd.in/egMix9ms

  • Construction companies spend $17B a year on project estimation, yet bidding on a new job is still largely manual, requiring estimators to measure every detail from satellite imagery, blueprints, and site visits. From our PearX W26 cohort, 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗧𝗲𝗰 uses computer vision to turn aerial imagery into bid-ready cost estimates in seconds, helping contractors bid on more projects without growing headcount. Their platform automates one of the biggest bottlenecks in construction workflows: translating raw property data into accurate, scalable estimates. The traction speaks for itself, TruTec launched in January 2026 and is already serving dozens of customers. We’re excited to partner with Ross Stitts and Ryan Brown as they modernize construction bidding. 🚀
