We’ve released a few updates to Orb Cloud that make managing and monitoring your Orbs easier. New: Orb Grouping Users can now group Orbs by key attributes directly from Status → View Options → Grouping, including: • Operating System • ISP • Connection Type • Connection Status • Location (City, State, Country) Improved visibility for offline Orbs Offline Orbs now appear with a dimmed visual state, making them easier to identify at a glance. Offline duration You can now see the estimated time an Orb has been offline. These improvements make it easier to organize large Orb deployments and quickly spot issues across your network.

Orb 💜 Fastly Today we're adding experimental support for speed testing to Fastly infrastructure, as well as production responsiveness and reliability measurements. With the addition of access to Fastly’s network, Orb now utilizes a combined 400+ PoPs in 125+ countries, providing an unmatched platform for measuring the experiences that impact our everyday internet activities. Fastly’s 532 Tbps of global capacity brings the total Orb network to over one petabit per second of global edge capacity! https://lnkd.in/gDPPHamu

Orb Local Analytics just got a big upgrade. It’s now powered by InfluxDB v3, which means it’s now SQL-based. Orb Local Analytics is built on the TIG stack (Telegraf, InfluxDB, Grafana). With this move to InfluxDB v3, working with your Orb data locally is more flexible than ever. Even better, it now supports our new Wi-Fi datasets out of the box. Big thanks to InfluxData and Grafana Labs for the powerful tools behind the stack. February feature streak continues. See you tomorrow. 👀 https://lnkd.in/gMnw8vc3 #TIGStack #InfluxDB #Grafana #SQL #NetworkObservability #Orb

Is it okay if we do three features today? We have new experimental features you can enable, and we would love your feedback! If you use your imagination, you can see where we are heading... 🔮 Orb Server - allow other Orbs to test responsiveness and speed to your Orb. 🌊 "Wave" speed test engine - better saturate the connection in less time. 🎯 Custom Responsiveness endpoints - configure your Orb to use your Orb Server or an HTTP/3, HTTPS, or ICMP destination. Please reach out to us on LinkedIn, Discord, or our support page with feedback, suggestions, questions, or bugs! 🔗 https://lnkd.in/g6NHMGb6

Looks like Tom O. spilled the beans on today's feature! Now you can get an always-visible, real-time Orb Score in your Windows system tray and macOS status menus to answer the age-old question: is it them or me? Update your Orb app today!

We’ve all had that moment on a video call: “Is it me?” or “Can you hear me?” I used to run a speed test to check… and of course that usually made things worse or even dropped the call. With Orb, it’s different. We now have something quietly running in the background continuously monitoring without causing disruptions. And a new feature (thanks Josh Hardy and Olivier Mignault!) makes it even better: While presenting, I can see my connection score right on top of my screen. 🟢 Green → all good 🟠 Amber / 🔴 Red → maybe pause instead of talking to myself for the next few minutes. I’ve always said we need features I’d happily recommend to friends and family, and this is definitely one of them. If you spend time on Zoom or Teams or Meet, etc., give Orb a try. And if you’re thinking about rolling this out across larger teams, feel free to reach out. Also a big shout-out to Jussi Kiviniemi, who first suggested this feature.

The Orb Windows Service has now entered general availability! Many customers have asked us for a completely headless option to deploy Orb on Windows. Now you can! - As on Linux and macOS, Orb sensors can now easily be deployed without a GUI on Windows. - One-line-install PowerShell script, with optional auto-updates. Great for MDM! - Chocolatey support available. Check it out now! 🔗 https://lnkd.in/g3NJ5rzk
