Excited to share an important conversation shaping the future of digital engineering and data strategy. Join us at the Dassault Systèmes CATIA User Symposium America (CUSA) 2026, and listen to the session by Steven "Steve" MacLaird, "OMG & the Enterprise Data Management Association 2026 Strategy." 📅 Wednesday, May 20 ⏰ 9:00–9:30 AM PDT 📍 Nevada 12 Following the October 2025 acquisition of the Object Management Group (OMG) by the EDM Association, we’re seeing a powerful convergence between financial data expertise and global technology standards. This alignment strengthens OMG’s portfolio—including the Digital Twin Consortium (DTC), CISQ, and the DDS Foundation—at a time when integration, interoperability, and trusted data are more critical than ever. At the heart of the 2026 strategy is an evolution from the traditional 3-pronged approach to a more connected and outcomes-driven framework: 🔹 Meta Object Facility (MOF) / MOSA Enabling Environment – advancing foundational repositories and platforms 🔹 SysML v2.0 – redefining systems modeling for modern engineering environments 🔹 UAF v2.0 – enabling unified architecture strategies across complex ecosystems These pillars continue to shape the future of architectures, modeling, and standards across government and industry—particularly within the digital and systems engineering communities. This is supported by renewed momentum across OMG’s broader ecosystem, including the Digital Twin Consortium (DTC) and the Augmented Reality for Enterprise Alliance (AREA), where real-world testbeds are driving innovation, validation, and measurable outcomes. Join us as we discuss the latest wins, emerging use cases, and what’s ahead for this evolving strategy: https://lnkd.in/ew97kiTx #DigitalEngineering #DataStrategy #SysML #DigitalTwin #EnterpriseArchitecture #OMG #EDMAssociation #Innovation

📢 New RFP Announcement: Standardizing TACSIT Display Configuration The Object Management Group® (OMG®) has issued a new Request for Proposal (RFP) focused on advancing interoperability and consistency in tactical systems: TACSIT Configuration Settings and Services Tactical Situation (TACSIT) displays are foundational to modern Combat Management Systems, providing operators with critical geospatial awareness. Yet, despite their importance, organizations continue to face challenges with fragmented platforms and inconsistent configuration approaches. This RFP aims to address those challenges by defining a standards-based, reusable framework for configuring TACSIT displays—improving interoperability and flexibility while reducing integration complexity across systems. 💡 What’s in scope? Standardized services for configuring TACSIT displays across platforms Approaches to managing settings such as symbology, projections, color schemes, and layout. Enabling open architectures for more efficient deployment and sustainment As Matt Wilson / OMG C4I Task Force) notes, the goal is to create configurable, interoperable, and consistent tactical displays—critical for today’s increasingly complex operational environments. 📅 Key Dates: Letter of Intent (LoI) deadline: October 15, 2026 Initial Submission deadline: March 30, 2027 If you're working in defense systems, geospatial technologies, or open architecture frameworks, this is an important opportunity to help shape the future of tactical display interoperability. 👉 Download the RFP and learn more: https://lnkd.in/ewkJDd5h #OMG #DefenseTech #Interoperability #OpenStandards #GIS #MilitaryTechnology #SystemsEngineering
