Netflix’s 2026 docuseries, Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model, reexamined America’s Next Top Model and its legacy by revisiting a few of its most harmful moments, including situations where sexual harassment, assault, and coercion were framed as entertainment. In 2025, Respect Together — through our national division National Sexual Violence Resource Center and our statewide division Pennsylvania Coalition to Advance Respect — marked 50 years of advancing victims’ rights and preventing sexual abuse. Together, we: • Reached every state with expert information and assistance  • Trained over 4,500 professionals in prevention • Provided legal services to 202 survivors in Pennsylvania • Coordinated 3,310 language access requests in Pennsylvania When funding instability threatened rape crisis centers, we acted — launching the PCAR Bridge Fund to help sustain life-saving services. What do survivors want and need from sexual assault services today? Through our role as a Sexual Assault Capacity Building Center, NSVRC partnered with researchers from Temple University’s Phoenix Gender-Based Violence Lab to conduct a trauma-informed national needs assessment. The project gathered insights from 645 individuals to identify emerging issues, training and technical assistance needs, and opportunities to strengthen services for survivors. Key findings point to gaps in virtual accessibility, concerns about cost transparency, and the importance of individualized care approaches.
